I think it would be fun for her to run around the house and not be scared, or have me scared.I've read about someone who got a hamster ball and there snuggly would chase the cats around in the ball, because she knew she was safe ..I have cats too, how exciting. Do you think she's going to freak out about being in the ball when she gets in??

Only one way to find out..lol However, we have to put scotch tape on each side of the cover..the balls can knock loose when they bump into something The girls are okay for the balls, our boys..no way. They want to pee constantly to mark in it and end up an icky mess! lol

Wow, I was considering a hamster ball, but I thought their little toes/claws might get caught in the air openings. If this is not a problem I may reconsider. Thanks!

They are great, just make sure they aren't broke at all. I had my Sara get out last night when she broke her ball open. She came straite to me as so as she got out. She is so good. I think my son got a hold of her ball and broke it. I just didn't notice it. I will check them from now on though. They have had them for about a year. They go for hours.

I think I am going to just bite the bullet and get a stealth wheel. They are expensive, but everyone says how great they are.

Hamster balls are great but they still need to be watched. Also, they'll poop and pee in it so you have to clean it out after a little while or they'll be rolling around in their own waste, yuck! Suki loves the ball and will come barrelling at my friends when they come over. She's just not afraid when she's in the ball. Gabby just seemed to get really frustrated. She would just sit there and get mad until I got her out.

Wow, I didn't know they are okey for suggie. I put mine in one once but I freaked out after about 30 secs of her rolling in it because I was affrad of her claws getting stuck. But, if everyone else seems to have positive sresults, then I may look into it.

Are hampster balls safe for them? Seems I read something some time ago on here that they were too small and that ferret balls were better for them. Don't have either at this time, but would like to know.

I use them with mine and they love them. All I have to do is show them their balls and they come running jump in and wait for me to close the lid and put them down then off they go. And I have never had them get their toes/nails stuck.

Yes, hamster balls are loads of fun for the babies...BUT--PLEASE use them with caution. Mine loved them too. Here is the issue...for gliders with smaller hands, they can actually slip thru the slots, where they will run them over, and cut into the palms of their hands. Troi never even let on she was hurt, but if I hadn't noticed it when I did, she might have lost her front hands, or at least half of them, as the cuts ran all the way across her palms. I have not used them since. Please, Please check your babies hands after every use, if you insist on using them, for injury. Also keep in mind, that these were not made for the kind of feet a glider has. I dont' want to rain on anyone's parade, but if you care for your glider, please be careful, and check often.
