nooooooo !!!!! ... I saw trout chewing on the screen of the reptarium this morning!! they've been in there for over a month, and no chewing... WHY NOW?! or, more importantly (and answerable) how do i get him (them? I haven't noticed skeezix doing it though. but she learns quick) to stop?! I'm sure a better wheel would help occupy them (I have a stealth on order. I have the one i made in there, and i still can't getr the bearing to stick to the lid, so it doesn't turn right. but somewhat useable), but beyond that, what can i do? I really really really don't want holes in this thing ... it cost A LOT (shipping, exchange, and customs = EVEN MORE), and I can't afford another sort of cage that is that bIg.
ahhhhh!

My are chewers, too. I had a couple holes put in the 2 reps I have now, but I just sewed them up with a nylon thread. They gave up and quit chewing those places. Make sure you have enough toys, branches for chewing, and a wheel for exercise. Mine don't chew very much now--it's more like flossing. I haven't had anymore holes, just places that look like snagged pantyhose. I've had mine for a while and ordered a replacement cover for $35.

ooooohhh, the replacement cover on its own is good news, just in case... I guess I'll also have to be more innovative in making toys.
