Thanks you guys! So glad they are doing well. Alittle trick I have found works is feeding mom mealies she will lay on her back as long as I keep feeding them to her and the little triplets will nurse away.

Their oop date was 12/12 not bad for triplets!

I am concerned about the triplets the last two nights two of them have not gain but lost weight. Only one has continued to gain.

I am concerned. What I think I should do is take the biggest out for an hour and let the other two nurse. If I feed her mealies I think she will let them nurse for a few minutes.

Any suggestions????

Reeny...by far I am no expert, but those weights look really really good. They are 4 wks. now right...I don't think taking the bigger baby out for 30mins. or so would hurt. Could you supplement a little bit? Soon they will be eating on their own too....if it were me, I would offer a little supplement in my hand and let them lick it up. (Sheila showed me they are able to do this when she had rejected teeny babies once at an SGGA.).

Did you weigh them at the EXACT same time? That would throw the weights off a little bit if not too. (if they pottied, nursed beforehand, after, etc.)

Thanks Karin yes I have been weighing them at night when mom and dad first come out. I just took the biggest boy out and let the other two nurse but it was just a few minutes. They look ok. I could also supplement. Just don't know if it is necessary.

Reeny, it really concerns me that both females have dropped ~ 2 grams since last Wednesday. I would definitely give the females more time with Mom during the day so they have a better chance at nursing. I would also start supplement feeding them at least twice a day until their weight comes back up again. This will not hurt the mother's milk production. Make sure you continue to check for dehydration, too. If you see any signs of dehydration at all, immediately start giving them Pedialyte and get them to the vet's ASAP.

Thanks Suz for your help. I supplemented all three of the joeys and they did pretty well. Of course the biggest ate the best. I am going to do this over the next few days am and pm. Unfortunately I am going out of town tomorrow til Wednesday evening on business. What bad timing! The joeys look good so I am concerned but I think they will be fine.

Debbie and Camille are going to help me. They will be coming over twice a day til I get home. THANK YOU SO MUCH you two! LOVE YOU BOTH! Wish them both luck!

Barbara not sure if the joeys have been coming out at all. I have not seen them but they could be in the middle of the night when I am sound asleep. (Well as sound as I can be will all the suggies frolicking in my room)
Suz asked me the same thing. I was wondering if mom is just trying to wean them. I really haven't seen them come out at all yet. They will lick the meal worm guts when Dad is eating them.

I hope they continue to do well.

Babies ate well this am. Each took a full 2cc. Hopefully weights will stablize. Thanks again Suz, Debbie and Camille.

Camille and I don't have a problem helping with the joeys. Tonight it was the cutest things one of the joeys started to crab at us then saw we were going to feed him and stopped. And the parents were great I didn't even get crabbed at by them.

Yes Thank you Debbie and Camille. They sent me the cutest picture of one of the joeys from their camera phone saying "They were having a feeding frenzy" The weights have mostly stablized.

Were you supplementing all 3 or just the Jasmine and Jade? If you were only supplementing the 2, i would start with Juniper as well, mom isn't producing as much as she needs to so helping with all 3 of the babies will keep everyone healthy and happy

I am supplementing all three. But remember I wasn't home and Debbie and Camille were supplementing, only once on Monday and Tuesday night. They also weren't use to my scale so the weights might have been a little inaccurate. I supplemented last night when I got home and this am and will weigh and supplement tonight.

Triplet update for 1/16. All three are gaining weight. No more weight loss tonight. Gave them little licky treats of yogurt. They loved it.

Well time for a triplet update. They are doing fine the weight is stable again. Although Monday I tried to feed them only once in the evening. But when I weighed them at 11pm they all lost weight again.

Since Monday I have seen the joeys out and about the cage at night. I am assuming they are eating. Today I could only feed them once. Their weights were stable again.

Triplet update for 1/25. They all had there first tent time tonight with mom and dad. They did great! I took a few pictures. I couldn't give them enought kisses they were all so cute.

I haven't supplemented them in two days. Their weights are wonderful. Each are gaining nicely. They have been out now for the last few nights and I am assuming eating food. Although by the time I get to bed I am not getting up to check on them.

AND NOW THERE IS ONE!

Well just wanted to give a triplet update and let everyone know that 2 of the 3 have gone to their forever homes this week. I took a few pictures of them before they left. Gave them lots of kisses and will miss them very much. Who knows if I will ever experience triplets again. I know I was nervous but everything went well.

Here is a picture of all three of them earlier this week. Jasmine weighed 54.03 gms and Juniper weighed 56.03gms.

I found out that the family that was going to take Jade changed their mind. So he is available to find a new home. I will be posting an ad in the classified.

He went to a very nice family that already had one glider and they wanted to find a companion for him.

I feel a little sad. No more triplets. Who knows if I will ever experience the pleasure of another set again. All I know is that I was sure nervous about the whole thing. Now that it is over it seemed like a piece of cake.
