If i were you i would make an appointment for her at the vets ASAP. I've never had joeys, but I have seen prego gliders and have never seen that before. Better to be safe than sorry, ya know. Hopefully someone else with more experience in that department will come along and help you out. I hope she is ok

I'm not a vet but my guess is that is a nasty yeast infection of some type. Please get this baby in ASAP. I have NEVER seen this on my girls when they had joeys in pouch and they dont mind me looking when they are there.
Yeah its weird she didnt mind it seems like it dosent hurt her. But like im said im calling vet tomorrow and making appointment. But did you look when the babies just went into the pouch. Look at this picture http://bmxglider.tripod.com/developingjoey.jpg behind the joey's noise you can see white spots behind the joey a couple of them as well.

Definately never seen anything like that...Doesnt look normal. It looks similar to the ones in the link, however her pouch does look very red adn the white dots look irritated. I've seen little white dots in my gliders pouches that look like hair folicles. My gliders white dots were much smaller, no redness and not near that large. It looks like some sort of yeast or bacterial infection, though due to the number I wonder if its possible its some kind of infection in the hair follicle....
Nonetheless, definately doesnt look normal. Please keep us updated after the vet check. I'll keep u in my thoughts and prayers.

The dots are smaller and her pouch is pink but the flash made it look more red for some reason the dots look huge but i zoomed in with adobe photoshop so you can see them much better

with all my gliders, and all the joeys born here, I have never seen anything like that. I hope the vet appointment shows everything completely normal but I would take her if she were mine. Please do update us after the appointment.

Ok, first off, relax some. It could very well be normal but I just have never seen anything like it. I'm sure it can wait until morning unless there is anything else going on with her (change in behavior, not eating, dehydrated, etc...)
If she has a yeast infection, or any other infection, it isn't your fault or anything you have done wrong. These things just happen sometimes. Yeast infections are where the bacteria in moist places get out of whack and over grow. Some human infants get yeast infections in their mouth called thrush. It isn't because of anything their mom's did wrong, it just sometimes happens. Same with yeast infections in gliders.
This vet is listed in our database Dr. Sulliban at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital Dr. Sulliban at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital Location: Rainbow and Oakey Las Vegas Nevada Phone: 702-259-9200 I do believe he is avail. Thursday-Monday
HERE is a link to mapquest that lists 10 vets in the Las Vegas area. I don't know if any of them see gliders or not.
You need to stay calm and not panic. This doesn't look life threatening tonight to me but it does warrent a vet check I think.

Ok I went to my vet and he said hes seen it beofore and it just means shes going to have her joeys or has them already. But he is going to call a nother vet he knows and is going to give me a call back.
I hate to be the devils advocate here and disagree with all of you... But I HAVE seen this before and it is normal.. Usually you see it when joeys are not old enough to come OOP but they are sticking OOP and their mothers are cleaning them. It's a thin membrane.. skin like layer in their pouch.
I am not a vet and suggest that you take her in if you are concerned, even as somebody who has had gliders after a long time, I wouldn't take somebody else's word that she is alright especially when I am not there to see her in person.
The reason the pouch may look inflamed to some of you is because it is full of milk, so it gives it that bulging appearance... When I talked with Snoopie they told me that the pouch is NOT red like in the photos..
So in my opinion, as a hobby breeder, rescuer, and glider owner with NO medical background.. I would say that if her pouch is not red, inflamed, infected (do you see any pus or odd looking "discharges"?), and has no foul odor that she is fine.
But again, I am not a vet and am in no way telling you to not take her in.
Ok i just got back from the vet again and well SugarBaby22 is 100% right. But i dont know if this is true but my vet said only some females does this but it is a layer to protect the baby and im suspecting joeys in the near future! So maybe this is some info ill be adding into my new website coming up! Thanks everyone for your prayers!
Wow! Great news!! From looking at the picture though, it really did look awful! Guess it's kinda like when pictures make someone look like they have serious skin problems and they don't. LOL Glad she's OKAY!!
