Hi Samantha, congrats on your new glider. A good place to find
toys is go to the thrift store and look for baby
toys. Look for
toys that don't have small parts that they can bite off and swallow and also look to make sure there aren't any small areas that might catch little toes. I have a ton of
toys for my gliders that all came from the thrift store and only spend a few dollars on all them. Make sure when you get them home that you wash them in bleach water and rinse them very well, let them air dry and they should be good to go.
Live plants are not really a good idea as they will quickly strip off the leaves and kill the plants. Fake plants need to be the kind that don't have any metal wires in them. Most dollar stores will have wire free vines and such. They will still strip off the leave. Mine will pull off all the leaves and line their
pouches with them. When I change out their
pouches, I hand wash the leaves and put them back in the cage in different places for them to find. It doesn't take them long to have them all back in their
pouches again. (usually along with a toy or two).
