Okay, after hearing a ton of peope talk about the barrel of monkeys as a great toy for gliders, I have finally bought some for mine. What I need to know now is the best way to present them....do I hang them around the cage? Do I leave them in the barrel? What should I do with them?

I lay a couple of monkeys in the bottom of the cage. They carry them around, put them in their pouch....a lot of fun!

I hang them all over the cage, then I leave the barrel in the bottom for them. They usually spend all night throwing the monkeys around & Stewart Little likes to get in the barrel & make it roll around the cage floor! He's such a ham! Some folks like to put food on the monkey arms before they hang them - sort of an enrichment thing!

I hook them all together and hand them on the cage. Tyanna loves to unhook them one at a time and throw them down.

I leave all the monkeys in the barrel with the top lid off, and the next morning they're all scattered about, up on the top, midway and bottom of the cage, some even in their pouch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif" alt="" /> Then I have to take the time to pick them all up and put them back in the barrel for the next night.
Like picking up after toddlers. Little monkeys.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
The aim of education should be to teach us how to think rather than what to think.
The difference in involvement and commitment is like a ham omelet. The chicken was involved. The pig was committed.
