Ruth,
It is not "sewn onto another fabric", but it IS the fabric. It's polypropelene, and it should not be a problem if they pull on it. I have several, and love them all! And my cage is 5 feet long, so it's a LOT of material, and no issues, no stink!
(it's the same as the shopping bags that they sell for use over and over again)
Oh, and there are several color choices, but I don't know what she has on hand at the moment.
Jana should be back soon, but I hope I answered your questions!

Do you think it cuts down the smell more than the carefresh bedding????
I think the Carefresh bedding does a great job, but it is expensive.....I couldn't handle the smell with the fleece though.I can spend about $20.00 a week on the carefresh to do all my trays.

Get rid of the "stinky smell" in your cage! Our custom tray liners are made of 100% Polypropylene. They are absorbent and all you do is shake it out and put it in the washing machine. Yes these are both machine washable & machine dryable (on Medium Heat) and they dry very quickly. You won’t believe the difference. By using fleece you are training your little Suggies to go on their cage sets and in their pouches. Use this and they won’t mistake it for their toys! We’ve been testing them for months and the difference is amazing! These cage liners are custom made to fit whatever size tray you have in your cage, or add an inch on both sides, and lay it UNDER your reptarium!

Check it out at:
Custom Cage Liners

Hmmmm, why not buy two and have one ready for wash day?
Pricing: $2.15 a square foot or $.0175 per square inch.
Pricing examples: 18” x18” = $5.67 plus shipping.
Colors available at this time: Royal Blue/Turquoise (as shown in the pictures)

These liners just don't hold the stench like fleece, or newspaper lining! And, they are machine washable/dryable, and easy to use!

Note: These custom tray liners have been tested to be used in the tray OUTSIDE of your Suggies cage. They have NOT been tested for inside cage use.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to post and tell everyone I'm back from vacation and working on a couple of orders that came in while I was gone. If anyone is interested in ordering please e-mail me at stankusr@bellsouth.net and I'll be happy to give you a quote. I only charge actual shipping costs with delivery confirmation.

By the way, it RAINED all but about 4 hours of our vacation frown but we had a great time together regardless. smile

dance Jana made me some liners for my little travel cage I use for "potty breaks" when I'm driving around. Think about it... it would be real cheap, and a lot easier on the nose in this heat!

mlove Thanks Jana!
I'll try and get pics for you soon.

I love how clean and 'upscale' this makes the cage look, it's so much nicer than newspaper.

Everyone should have one of these in their cage trays.

HI! I just wanted to say that I am new to the cage liners by Jana and they absolutely ROCK!!! The smell is gone, and I am someone who cleaned my tray every morning! No more bedding smell either! I also bought one to line the back of my cage to save my wall and carpet and there is so much less mess!!! These truly are a God send, especially with my messy girls!!! Thanks again Jana!!!!!

This is great! I've been looking for an alternative cage liner. when i had my girls in seperate cages I used newspaper, paper towel and puppy pads....so far the puppy pads are my favorite. but now that my girls get along and are in their new flight cage, I have to use 1 & 1/2 of puppy pads...meaning i have to cut the 2nd one in 1/2 and it reveals the cotton stuffing that'll make a mess if my girls were to reach at the bottom of the cage. I'm tucking in the cut one under the whole one and taping it so they don't get a hold of it...but sooner or later i will get fed up cutting puppy pads, folding and taping them to fit the tray. Also they are in my room and my mom is one of those ppl that are sensitive to smell and always giving me a hard time saying that they smell and that i should put them in another room. she forgets the male is no longer there and the females don't smell as bad unless your face is in the cage.
Would like to see the color choices. Are these made of that same material they use for those alternative shopping bags that are bio-degradeable or something?
Being that they're machine wash safe, how long would they last? Can they also be hand washed and hung outside to dry? I also have a pet carrier that i'll put newspaper but still don't like the fact they may shred like when i put paper towels, so i put fleece, but it smells. Is this material safe for them to stand on and somewhat "shred-resistant"??
sorry for all the questions, but after reading some great comments about this liner, i feel someone needs to pinch me to make sure its not a dream!

I do not believe that reusable bags are made from the same material as these are. I read that most reusable bags are made from something called rPET.

I don't know exactly how long they would last, but they're pretty dang sturdy. I can't imagine hand-washing them would be much different than machine washing. Might even be a bit safer overall.

One of my boys actually pulled my liner up through the bars and had at it. No damage was done to him or the liner.

I know I have made these for several people here on GC with reptariums. I even put tabs on them so they will slide over the pvc to be held in place.

Anyone out there using these Custom Cage Liners for their reptariums? Would you please post your experiences so that others with repts will know how they work. I've only used them in my cages & I don't know anyone locally that has repts so I don't have first hand knowledge.

Thanks so much! smile

We have recently found that the black/black & med. grey/med. grey Custom Cage Liners are shrinking about 1/2" all the way around over a 8-10 month period. (Even though I pre-wash the fabric before cutting out & sewing the Custom Cage Liners.) We think it is because the temperatures fluctuate in everyone's dryers. So, to be on the safe side, if you order either of these colors please add 1" to your measurements.
To quote my satisfied customer, Diana:

"Even a little small they work better than anything I have used in the cage to absorb odor!"

Thank you!
