Hello Everyone,

I am proud to be introducing my new Rectangular Hammocks and my New Corner Hammocks. I finally figured out that my girls pee on the runway items (flat items) in their cage but not in their pouches or tent, so to cut down even further on the smell, I am making these items out of the polypropylene. (That same wonderful fabric the 'Custom Cage Liners' are made from).

We've been using them in our cages for over a year now and have found the polypropylene to be as safe or safer than fleece since their nails do not get caught in it.

The hammocks will be $5.00 each plus actual shipping with delivery confirmation.

Thank you!

Tara, here are pics of my corner and rectangle hammocks. I took them "the way they are" to show you that my little monkeys like to pee on 'the runway' as well, and WOW what a difference in smell! (Look at that rectangular hammock!)

Also, I think it looks much neater, with the polypropelene, and the hammocks match the cage liner. I'm sold! dance

The cage liners are absolutely AWESOME!!! My husband used to complain about the smell when he walked by my hedgehogs habitat. He said I needed to find another spot for her. So...I ordered cage liners for my hedgie too and replaced the fleece liners with it. I only have to replace it once a week too, instead of every other day. This is a miracle.

Hubby hasn't complained once, and he's asked me what I've done to keep the smell gone? I said this new cage liner from a friend on G/C. He said "Hmm, now I can't tell she's here!"

Thanks Jana! Your cage liners are the Bomb!!

You HAVE got to PATENT these before someone else does! You're onto something GREAT!!!!!

Are the sugar gliders able to grip the hammocks well? Like, if they hang upside down off of them (like my gliders seem to love doing) can they hold on well? Do the hammocks last longer than fleece? Are they safe for a glider to chew on?

..millions of questions, I know.

I'm interested in knowing as well!

Will be ordering a cage liner or two and possibly a corner/rectangle hammock when my cage comes in this week!

i love love love the liners.i cant emagine not having them .all my cages, reps and travel cage has them .....one cage and the rep dose not have bars so i thought chewing might be a problem......nope not once have my gliders cheweded on them....crawleded under the one in the rep....even foldeded a corner over to dsleep under.so i think the fabric is glider safe...i donot have a hammic ,but as far as being strong the fabric is verry strong and stirdy,i use one rep linner pinneded behind a cage (thai is a little messy)i must have washeded it at least 30 times or more. no fadding no nothing as good as new everytime it comes out of the wash......did i say i love allllll my liners???????????????

Just received the Custom Cage Liners I ordered yesterday. They went in the cages immediately and they are wonderful! Going to be much better than changing the newspapers.

I am sure I will be ordering more at a later date.

Thanks Jana!

I believe my hammocks are lasting longer than fleece. Certianly less smell. It washes well (as you can see from all the comments! smile ) and my gliders love to play on it. I haven't actually caught them hanging upside down... but mine love to do that, and have not been complaining tounge

I will check my night-time camera to see if I can catch them hanging under it... I'll update here if I find a good video!

You GOTTA try them!

Just received my cage liner today! FAST shipping and excellent communication. Haven't been able to try it out as I'm picking my gliders up saturday.

Might order the hammock now too, wish I ordered it with the liner, but oh well!

Thanks Jana!

NOTE to all customers:
Jana is out of commission for a few days, because she has a hurt shoulder. I had to go do her hair for her today, so I don't think she'll be cutting out liners for a few days tounge

Please contact her via email if you are wanting to order, but understand that she will not be shipping in her usual "gotta have it yesterday" fashion. (she is the fastest shipper I have ever dealt with!).

heart Thanks for understanding...

Hope Jana gets feeling better soon.

I just wanted to chime in and say she was remarkably fast at sending out the liners they work just like she said they would. I've gone through a whole cycle of shaking it out for a few days then washing it and the experience has certainly been more pleasant than changing out carefresh bedding. The Cage Liners came out of the wash looking brand new. Thanks!

I can now answer this! I got my hammock in last week and got my two joeys saturday. So far, their favorite spot is at the top corner of the cage in the hammock. It certainly keeps the smell away a bit and they've been hanging upside down and jumping on it a lot!!

However, I have noticed my little boy likes to chew and he likes to chew the edge of the hammock. I haven't seen any damage to it yet, but I'm wondering if it will hold up?

Just washed the cage liner for the first time. Very easily done and it kept in a lot of odors the fist few days. Works great! She also ships amazingly fast, even with her not feeling well!

I just bought two black/black liners, and although I haven't put them to use just yet (there's still about a week till suggie adoption time), they look well made and Jana shipped really quickly.

I took her advice on getting an extra inch on each side since they have been known to shrink, but I kind of wish I hadnt- they aren't very easy to fold over (mine are in the bottom of the cage). I just hope they shrink up so it wont be as easy and tempting for the glider to pull it up/over/etc smile

I also agree that the extra inch is in the way right now, but I hope in the long run that it shrinks and is a perfect fit.

That extra inch does cause it to bunch and I've noticed my boy grabbing at it at times. Perfectly safe though. And I just love the way it looks when I put in the freshly clean liner and have cleaned their cage.

I may have had an idea - what do you guys think would happen if I folded it over the extra inch, ran a seam along there, and then as it shrinks let the seam out until it shrinks up to the desired size? Do you think it would draw up evenly?

Try This Idea: put little strips of velcro in each corner, between the cage liner and the tray. Even if the suggies try to pull it up, it'll stay in place. This will continue to work no matter what size your liner is.
If you are like me, and don't take it out of the dryer as soon as it's dry (according to instructions) then this will keep it laying perfectly flat, and looking good as new wink

Update:

Now that I have my suggie baby home, I am SO SO glad that I got the extra inch. Even with her kitchen, she is a mess master, and having the extra to go a little up the side helps catch the food pieces and such. Each morning I just fold the corners in, shake it out, and put it back in. She has had the same one in for almost a week and there is NO smell or any food that has stuck. I am going to switch it out tomorrow for the other one I bought just for bacterial reasons, but it isnt what I'd consider soiled. These are AWESOME! Way better than what I'd imagine fleece would be like. Thank you so much, Jana!
