i want to hear your opinion on this waterbowl.
my gliders always pee in there whater or (i dont know how they always do it) put bml in there water. I was thinking about a solution. i remeber i saw a few years a go in a petshop a bowl for cats the water was constantley running, and after a litterl search on the net i found it again.
http://www.fretten.nl/kattenartikelen.html
it is a dutch site and i searched in englisch but i couldend find it, so you have to do with this.
there are 3 kinds of "bowls". the first is half open ( dont look like a option becaus of the hazerd of drowning the second is closed and this looks to me like it is great for gliders, and the third is totaly open so that's realy a NO.

what do you think.
i have considerd a bottel but my gliders won't drink out of that.
this bowl even filters the watter so it keeps clean, fresh an it flow's.
so what do you think woul it be a good idea?

That is a very neat creation! It would be too big for my gliders cage I think, But my cats would love it. Looks like a great idea to me!!

I've used the 1st one Cat-it for my cats. I couldn't see using this for my gliders. This water bowl is very large in size. The open bowl is a good size & I'd be worried about drowing. Yes it filters the water- & is always running- it's like a water fountain. It cycles threw- pulls from the drinking bowl & then filters through & runs down the sides of the big dome cavity. See the kittens licking the dome- that's because there's water running down the sides.

The 2nd version your talking about looks to be just the dome that allows the water to run like a water fall.

The thing about these filtering type- they end up dirty inside the dome & you cannot clean in them. The chemicals & such from the water collect inside. Ours didn't not last very long & they are not cheap- the filters themselves run a good $10.00

Have you tried the pet bird feeder water fountain/reservoir?
I've used those with no problems- just find little bits of backwash.

Good luck

mobmilli, I was going to say the same thing. I have known several people that have had those and they seem to quit working fairly quickly. I wanted to get one for my cats b/c they will not drink water that is not very fresh. Spoiled rotten they are. But I changed my mind after hearing what people had to say about them.

I have a catit, and the bottom of the bowl (it's half of a sphere) actually unscrews from the globe itself, allowing for easy cleaning. The filter can be soaked in water or completely replaced for very little cost. I have had one of these for my 4 cats for months now, and not one problem yet.
