I have a whole room set up as a playground. For permanent door safety, I put very harp plastic stripps (doubled on each side of the door) attached to the bootms of the door on the inside and the outside. It makes the door a bit difficult to drag open and shut, but is very effective in cotaining the gliders to the one room when they're out playing.
I also strung ropes horizontally accross the cieling in a "spiderweb" sort of arangement and used closed round hooks so that there aren't any sharp ends sticking out. I hung
toys, ropes, ladders, plastic chains (homeDepot), swings, and other assorted silliness from these ropes.
I have bunches of stuffed animals all over the floor.
The computer has cord covers on every cord, and there's one low watt lamp, also with cord covers.
Make sure to plug all outlets with those child-safe outlet covers.
Also, I found hanging canvass shoe cubbys that are made to hang in closets--lots of fun for exploring or resting.
Depends on how wild you want your bathroom to look full time.
Sine I set up this room, guests decide to stay in the living room!
Hope that helps.
