KarenE Owner Registered: 03/25/00 Posts: 22367 Loc: LittleRock, AR USA	The Glider Initiative is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to educating glider owners and the general public in the proper care of sugar gliders. Founded in 2007, TGI is headquartered in Michigan. The organization was built on the idea of addressing common issues in the glider community and dealing with them at the root. Through seminars, educational classes, and conferences, TGI aims to share knowledge about diet, health, housing, and all other aspects of sugar glider ownership. Along with its educational efforts, TGI has projects in the works to help glider owners in need with some of the costs of owning sugar gliders. These include the vet Care Assistance program and a neutering program that is in the works. Membership with TGI is a way to support the organization’s efforts, and also offers benefits with some vendors in the community.
