Hi guys, I haven't been on in a while stirring up any trouble but here goes one anyway, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

What's the census on the Insect Eater diet from Insect Eater Diet

I bought two cans and am not totally sure of my opinion yet. I'm 3/4 through the first can. I follow Pricilla Price's diet, I love it, but occasionally I buy random stuff just to keep the meals interesting & varied.

I used the Insect Eater canned diet over Christmas vacation because we left town, my guys gobbled it up. Ingredients look fairly good too. I mixed it with stuff like yogert or soy milk or juice or fruits, etc.

It smells kinda funny, but they kids seemed to like it.

The only question I am sending to the site is about how long it should be kept in the fridge in the can, so far this is my only concern with it because I know canned cat food and stuff can go bad within a few days, I assumne this can too. But the can is so big it's hard to use up quickly, and the food isn't really soft but more crumbly so it's hard to put in ice cude trays....

Okay... what's your thoughts? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

What about putting it in tupperware?

My nutritionist friend tells me that nothing, no matter if it's in tupperware, cans whatever lasts beyond 72 hours, that's when it starts goig bad, unless it's frozen of course which is what I am going to work on with the second can, the problem is that it seems like a great thing to take along when traveling but the can is so big! It's enough to feed two gliders for a week....

What about those food savers that take the air out of the canaster or bags?

Yep that's what the response was to my email as well.

So there aren't any opinions on this stuff? Nobody's tried it but me?

[:"green"]I just ordered some from Exotic Nutrition on Monday & should be getting it in today or tomorrow... I'm very curious about how my gliders are going to like it. I'll let you know what they think...
By the way, there are two can sizes available: 6 oz or 11 oz. Not sure which size you have, but if it's the larger one, you may want to buy the smaller size instead for travelling.

It's just that the big size is such a better value that I bought those instead.

I'd love to hear what your kids thought of it! My guys really liked it. They picked at it the first night but the rest of the time they gobbled it up.
