I searched for about 30 min. and could not find the answere for my delema. I feel like such a bad momma. I used fresh breeze TB cleaner I bought from suncoast to clean my wood branches! I have one large branch I bought from a pet store that is meant for birds and two white wood perches that came with my cage(which I also bought from suncoast). I didnt soack them very long in the cleaner and I rinsed with very hot water. I only had the wood in the cage for about 30 min, before I realised I made a mistake. Only one of my gliders was playing around on the large brach, and I saw him chew on it, but he only chewed for a couple of secounds.I am very worried that the cleaner soaked into the wood. Should I replace the wood branches? Does anyone think my baby is going to get poised now? I am very concered about this. Thank you to anyone who has some answeres.

I am assuming you removed it from the cage. If not, then do so. The best thing to do is e-mail Lisa at Suncoast and ask her, but someone should be along who has an idea here.

I took the wood out as soon as I realised the mistake I had made. I forgot to add that the bigger branch is a dark red color(safe for birds to chew), I am not sure of the name, but it was pre cooked and treated. So I am assuming it is a harder wood. Thanx

It has been almost two hours now, and my baby is doing fine. He is still running like crazy in his wheel, so I am assuming I amout of the woods with him getting sick, but should I get new branches now? or is there something I can do to the ones I already have, like soak them in vinegar and water?

It sounds like Manzanita. I would e-mail Suncoast and ask them. I think Manzanita is pretty hard, but I don't know if the stuff soaks in, or if its toxic or what. I wish I could help more, I just don't know.

If you rinsed the branches really well, than I really dont think you have anything to worry about. Just make sure they are completely dried out before they go back into the cage. Give it a good 24 hours.
