I am going nuts...I have heard wodent wheels are dangerous...but that track it uses, it is wire free...I think that part is safer than the stealth which has the wires....how about can someone patent and make a stealth woth a wodent wheel track! That seems like it would solve my problem! Seriously, everyone with a stealth, please post and tell me it is impossible for them to get their feet stuck in the 1/4 spacing (that just seems too large!) I asked this on the stealth thread, but it was someone else's thread, so I thought I would start one solely deicated to a wodent/stealth debate....so let the debate begin!

Some people posted about tails/limbs getting wrapped by something, and something about the holes maybe....wait and the posts will come hopefully and help me out on this I do not have gliders yet, so do not have a wheel yet, hence the confusion! Thanks for ur reply though, appreciate it
P.S. I think I may be addicted to this site, I/m sure it'll get better when I actually GET the gliders

There is NO wire used with the stealth wheels. They are the best wheel out there. Hands down.

Thanks everyone for you vote of confidence. Gogogliders, we make and market the Stealth. There is no wire in them and I can asure you that a gliders feet are wide enough not to slip through the net. Anytime you use a wheel in a cage there is a slight risk... with ours or the wodent. The wodent is a safe wheel also. Yes there have been a few time that the tail has wrapped around a wodent. But those are very isolated cases. I feel like both wheels are safe for use and you should base your choice on what you need and are comfortable with.

Thanks so much! I do like the stealth because there are no crossbars, I think thats what they are called, so if the mesh is indeed safe, Iwill go with it because of the open design and the fact that it is apparently not noisy!
Thanks again

I have both wheels. I got the Wodent first and then got a Stealth after reading all the great things about them. Badger never used a wheel until the Stealth came, he's not good at but is learning. The wodent would get dirty and stinky very fast as they would smush everything onto the track when they used it (poop & food), with the Stealth that problem doesn't happen as all the stuff falls through. You still have to wash the wheel on a regular basis, it just doesn't smell bad.

We have both also..and have to get a couple more so everyone has a turn. lol Badger and Bonnie have a Wodent wheel but only walk in it. Never run. LOL Victor and Isabella have to use a wodent wheel cause of disabilities they have (shhhh, don't tell them..they don't know!) Overall, I prefer the Stealth, it's quiet and we can watch the kids fly all the way around in it! I don't know who has more fun, them in it or us watching them in it.
Badger and Bonnie have never messed up their wodent wheel, I've wiped it out with a baby wipe like twice in over a year. Victor and Isabella's wodent wheel, we wash about every 3 days cause it gets really gross. The Stealth, we just wipe it down with a Lysol wipe once in awhile. Depends on how the gliders are I guess. Some will poo and pee in them and others won't.
Glider Kids - Badger and Bonnie, Pepsi and Grace, Victoria.. ahem..I mean ummm..Victor! and Isabella

I love our stealth.. and interestingly some of our gliders go int he one wodent- I put it in their play area and just come out its like they can't figure out how to make it go!
They are grea to watch int he stealth though or on it- sometimes one rides the outside while another runs inside!

For a long time the Wodent wheels were the wheel of choice by most glider people. After they changed the design of them I was disappointed in their performance. Then we got one of the early Stealth wheels. There is no comparison. The Stealth is absolutely the best wheel I have ever seen. It is well designed and the gliders love them. They aren't noisy and are much easier to clean. And seem to last forever. We have never had any injury problems with either of the wheels. So safety is not a factor with either. The little wire wheels are where the tail injuries come from. Go with the Stealth Wheel is my recommendation! Charlie H
