I have some questions for all of you fellow reptarium owners out there.
First how to you line the bottom of your cage?
I have several pieces of fleece cut to 30”x 30” I tuck in 3 at a time inside the cage under the bars at the bottom. Every day or at least every other day I pull out the top layer, shake it out outside and throw it is the wash and hand it dry.
Recently they have started burrowing in between the layers throwing off everything!
So… I now put an additional blanket in the bottom just sitting on top in a wrinkled pile. They love it more than their cage
pouches! That also gets shaken out and washed regularly.
For the people who use puppy pads. Where do you get them? How often do you change them? Aren’t they too small to cover the whole bottom of the cage?
My post was prompted by some peoples comments about it not being safe for them to walk directly on fleece that has pee and poop on it. So now I am worried
Okay now about zippers. Has anyone had problems with them trying to escape? Do you guys use zipper locks?
Finally does anyone else use their rept for tent time?
I have a tent also but when it has gotten pretty late I don’t always feel like taking the time to set up the tent so I just climb right in. (After pulling out the top layer of fleec). Their have been a number of times that I have fallen asleep curled up in the bottom of the reptarium.
I am interested in all of your responces!
Thanks
