I need to know how long I can keep an opened jar of babyfood. I am feeding my joeys the suncoast diet and next week I will start with a few insects, but for now, since I have alot left, can I freeze it with the applesauce mixed in like everyone does with BML?Answer quick b/c I am only going to keep it for 1 more day before I throw it out and I won't freeze it unless someone tells me they do it and it's okay! Thanks!!

Well, I have barely used any of it, so can I freeze it into cubes and feed it that way so I don't have to waste it?

I freeze mine sometimes, and I keep it up to 3 days in the fridge. You can just use a spoon and drop a dab onto a plate, put the plate in the freezer and then scrap them off with a spatula into a zip lock bag.

Check the bottle label. I think most will say 2-3 days in the frig.

Oh my! I didn't realize that you could only keep baby food in the fridge for a couple of days I've kept mine a week, smelt it, inspected it, fed it to my gliders and they gobbled it all up and didn't get sick. Oh! I feel horrible now that I might have been feeding them "yucky" baby food! Thanks for posting this because I had no idea!

I rescued kittens before. With the milk, you can definitely freeze them in to cubes and use them sparingly. The same with any food really. Once they are frozen, they are immune to most bacterial infestations.. save yourself the money, and your baby food will last you a long time and your gliders will be happy.
