Hello, I love to make my baby things out of fleece, I have made her many fun things, but I would like to know how to make more stuff for her cage besides pouches, such as those hanging things with all the fleece hanging off of it, If anyone wouldnt mind giving away their secrets I would appreciate it because I love making her stuff, thanks

I could not sew if life depended on it, so I don't try that stuff-lol. But, I found a plastic circle in the craft section of wal-mart (like the kind you make those thread design things on) and wound strips of fleece around it, and put a chain of baby links on it, and hung it from a rope of baby links. Its a circle swing...I luv it!

I made a swing for my baby ( no pics, I don't have a scanner) but I took a medium size plastic embroidery hoop, tied 3" stips of different color fleece around the hoop so it looked like a wreath, tied a longer strip of fleece to the hoop to hang it by (be sure to cut the fleece so that it doesn't stretch) and attatched it to the top of the cage with a lanyard hook. He was playing on it last night. I also took some craft ribbon and tied to a lanyard hook, just several strips of sage and white, double knotted it to a lanyard hook and hung it above his hammock. Plus, my daughters toddler drinking cup..2 handled..tied some fleece to one handle with a lanyard hook on one end, then filled with several straws about 5" long. Jess went absolutely nuts over this and I had straws everywhere this morning. Melanie

A creative mind can come up with so many different things the gliders love. We look for different little open boxes that can be filled with different small toys and place one in each cage. The gliders will dig through them and scatter toys everywhere looking for their favorites. When you are creating these toys keep the gliders safety in mind. Do not put things in the cage that the gliders can hang their nails or foot on. Also avoid small objects that the gliders can swallow and choke. And remember that some gliders are chewers. Small beads can be a real problem if the toy happens to come apart. Charlie H
