Well, Zoey had another pair. This set are boys though. Everything was all and well until today when she refused to feed them.. at all. I whipped up some baby BML and kept them with me from before noon, until about 20 minutes ago. I've been feeding them every other hour and I am SO stressed. My vet (the wonderful and talented Dr Barb Buxton) was in office when I arrived without warning. I got the things (cath and puppy replacer) I needed then she and I gave them their first taste of BML. Not thrilled with it, at all really. Nw I've let them back in wit zoey who seems to be cleaning them at least. I'll feed them again at the 2 hr span. I really can't depend on her to do it. I'm afraid one of the boys will starve for the other one's being fed. So, yeah, I'm a bit wound. It's going to be a LONG two weeks. (Oh and all three boys are going in to get snipped on the 27th. Barb has time and the knowledge now. Just glad she learned as quickly as she did.)

Well, the underweight boy just passed. It seems he was just too little to compete with his brother and I pulled them too late. She had cleaned him and was trying to keep him warm. I feel so bad. I really wish this sort of thing wouldn't happen.

[:"green"]I'm so very sorry the little one passed. I would continue to supplement the survivor so that the mother doesn't get too stressed. You can try adding a bit of Pedialyte to the puppy formula when you make it up... then it will taste better, plus the extra electrolytes will help prevent dehydration (which is usually why these little ones end up dying). If you haven't already, you can check out my web-page on Hand Raising A Joey for more information on making formula, etc. Please keep us posted on the survivor's progress...

I'm so sorry about the baby. I don't breed and can't help on the baby feeding thing, but I can send prayers and good thoughts. I've missed seeing you on Zayrah.

Unfortunately, even with everythig I've done, the second one passed as well. I just didn't pull them in time. I don't see anywhere that I could have done anything better. I'm just going to be incommunicado for a bit. Be well.
