In an effort to bring new and exciting things to our members and GliderCENTRAL, we have installed a new feature to try out. It is a toolbar located at the bottom of the page. We are not sure if we will be keeping it or not. We would like to see how it goes and make sure it doesn't cause any problems to our users. I am still working on some settings, so some things may change a bit. Please give us feedback about this, so we know if this is something we should pursue and or make changes.

We would like to say a special thank you to Linda (LSardou) for the hard work she has been doing in our links Database. She has been very busy working hard editing all the existing vets to add their address so a map will show up for each listing.

Hey Eddie I use my iPhone alot to access GC and I've noticed that bar is sticking in the middle of posts. Is there anyway to chose to take it off?

And the end, there is double arrows down meg. it minimizes it. Does that make it go to the bottom on your phone? I dont like it popping up everytime I scroll down. Makes me lost ofcus as it darws me attention down so I just used the double arrows so all it says is Tools now instead and gives me the option to use it if I want but I dont have to see it.

What browser are you using? I'm on iPod touch now using myfox browser and bar don't show. I checked with safari and bar disapeared, will check again.

It's a safari....it seems to be randomly coming up now.

I definately like the new bar, especially the recent posts!

OK. I do not see it. I use Firefox (the most recent version) and don't see a bar of any kind at the bottom. Am I doing something wrong?

Uh oh! All the posts are messed up for me. Looks like everything's been scrambled!

They are pulled off of an rss feed that is cached every 5 min. This is a beta(testing) bar and their will be some kinks

It all looks really cool in chinese! LOL Got a little lost & took a few to find my way back to english tho.

All you gotta do is go back to your bookmark of GC

As an extended lurker, recent member, and first time poster I just wanted to say thanks for the new toolbar. My wife and I have been researching sugar gliders for a while now and the new search function is great in this regard. I love the recent posts. Thanks. It has been fabulous to have so much information and such a knowledgeable community of folks available in one place, and I am finding it easier to navigate and resource with every change.

I use my iPhone(with safari browser) a lot also to access GC and it's putting the bar about halfway down the page. Sometimes it blocks posts and I'm unable to read them. It would be nice if it was at the bottom of the page. I wonder why it's staying in the middle?

On my laptop it seems to work ok.

Give us some time, looks like the bar should be set not to load for mobile devices

I love the new toolbar, but ti doesn't show up when I log-in on my work laptop. Does it make a difference that I have IE7?

Nope. One tool bar has "Privacy statement, Board Rules, Mark all read" on the left and "Contact Us, Glider Central, Top" on the right.

The other says "Home, Forums, links, Gallery, vets, Breeders, sounds, Contact Us, Names, Rules & Policies"...

No random!

Yes, please take screen shot. I looked using ie7 earlier and the bar shows up. If you can get a screen shot so I can see whats going on. thank you
