sometimes when i give my girls treats they kinda swat at my hand with one of their front feet...does this mean anything? Thanks

And also they kinda nibble when you let them smell our hands... is this normal or just because we are not bonded with them yet?

Is it while they're eating? It's probably just them flinging what's stuck on their hand. That's how food gets splayed all over the room and on walls. shakehead

It sounds pretty normal. If you were handling food or something before handling them, they probably smell it and want to taste it. That, or they could be grooming you. smile

They are propably trying to swat it from your hand. Mine do that with licky treats from time to time. Mine are pretty well bonded to me so I assume it is a normal thing. They will swat at my finger like a lil ninja and then lick their paw to get what they snatched roflmao

Nibbling is normal to. They may be testing you, if it gets to rough or you don't like it make a "psssst" noise at them and they will stop. Lilo doesn't do that to me but booger face Stitch does it all the time lol. He will even grab my finger and pull it closer to the bars so he can do it.

:welcome:It is defanetly normal, mine does it often. She's still not fully bonded so it's bound to happen occasionaly. Sometimes she gets realy excited and grabs randomly at fingers. I think it's because she smells the mealworm but can't figure out where i'm holding it. It gets better, just give it time. thumb

I gave my new baby her first milli this weekend she was very confused at first til she snapped at me and got a mouth full of the milli. But since then after handling a milli she does the same thing. I know its just because she can still smell the milli on my fingers cause she doesnt make the crabbing noise and charge and my finger like she is scared. Its more like 'your finger smells like a milli, So let me taste and see if it is'. But I will say the milli worms in tent time is a good way to bond. Because over the holiday I did it and now she will come to me and grab a milli and I can now lay my hand down and her just climb in my hand.

One of my girls used to do the "swatting" thing. For the longest time she did NOT like mealies and if I would try to hand them to her she would flail her front hands at my finger like "Ewwwwww get it away". So I think that is normal. The nibbling is normal too especially if you still smell like treats
