I was wondering if you can over handle your glider too much?
I almost always have my glider Mr. Magoo (12 wks OOP) in a bonding pouch during the day. I have even had him with me for 12-13 hours a few times. I tend to have my hand in the pouch petting him alot during this time as I just can not resist. He does not seem to mind and every now and again he will turn over and lick my hand then give the little nip bite. Then he just falls asleep in my hand. Can you over handle them and strees/disturb their sleep too much?
If I get him in the pouch later in the day sometimes he has to go to the bathroom and boy does he let me know if he does. He hates it and I have to change pouches or he will not settle down. I alway carry 2-3 pouches when out and take along my Port-A-Pet for him in case we are gone after 7:30 as this is his wake up time and that is another whole game we play!

I know a lot of people on GC carry their babies with them all day... if you're going to keep him on you for that long my only suggestion is to make sure to bring grapes/apples or a water bottle to ensure he doesn't get thirsty/hungry while out and about. Aside from that - I can't imagine it harming him. sounds like he really loves you already - congrats!

Thats like asking if you can love to much in my opinion. They like your company and if he's a single glider, deffinately your not! Jax went with me everywhere...litteraly. Wal-mart, school, work, friends..even the movies. He was an exceptional gliders though. The moment we met we were bonded. If he had to be in his cage he would sit by the door no matter the hour and wait for me. It made hugging difficult, but I loved it and I think he did to. We were very in tune with one another.

I don't think you can handle them to much. However, I think being respectful that they sleep during the day is good. I pet mine through the day and let them cuddle up in my hand to sleep but once they go back to sleep i try not to wake them again for awhile. This seems to help a lot in getting them to wake up earlier in the evening as the times they may not get so much good sleep they stay in the pouch later at night. But my guys like the attention I give them, at least i think they do <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thank you I did not think you could but wanted to make sure I could not harm him in any way. I do carry some 50/50 juice and water with me in a dropper bottle in case. I also always carry food that will keep in case the car breaks down of I get stranded somewhere. I am hoping this makes a world of difference with our being best buddies forever!

My first glider used to spend about 18 hours a day with me until he got a girlfriend and decided he liked her better...
