Im definitely not trying to start any trouble, but I just want to add my experience with this product. A while back I ordered fresh eucalyptus branches, and sticks with leaves on them from you, because I was told by many people I should order some. I was very excited to get them for the first time. It took about a week to get my order. When I got it the leaves were mostly brown, and were already crisp and breaking apart. I emailed about my order, but never got a reply. I decided to put them in the cage to see if they would like them, and my gliders just did a taste test, and never touched them again. They just sat in the cage, so I took them out and threw them away. Im sure its because they were not very fresh. I see other people are very happy with theirs, so I dont know what happened to mine. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

I have had mixed success with the fresh euc as well. remember they wont actually EAT the leaves, but may strip the bark off the stems, or carry the euc back to the nests because it smells nice.
I have one cage that likes the fresh, one that wont touch it. By the same token if I put dried crushed euc in the cage in a bowl, the same gliders in the cage that dont like fresh, will roll all around in the dried cruched stuff, and carry bits to their pouch. Can not figure out why the differnce. maybe has something to do with how it is grown, smells, no clue

I am still new with gliders, I now have 4 and they are so spoiled!! I am wondering how long the starter kit would last? This way I can work it into my glider budget!!

I got 2 sample packs and was able to give 17 cages some leaves and a few got sticks and I have plenty to do it 2 more times,my babys love it.and I love the smell.

2. Please also know that I do NOT like to have unhappy customers (esp. GCers), ever! If your order was incorrect, or super late, or yucky, or you're not satisfied in ANY way with your Eucs, let me know and I'll do what I can to correct/replace/refund/fix it.

3. MOST gliders seem to love Eucs! Gliders are originally from Australia and Tasmania where Eucs grow wild and they chew/forage/live in the Euc trees, naturally. However, they are still animals and not all will like 'em all the time.

So, to answer some questions/concerns...
- I talked to glidermommie (sandra) via PM, apologized profusely, and I am sending a replacement order to her and her gang today.

- Fresh Euc leaves will last up to a month, if kept cool (open bag in the fridge). We've also found recently that Euc leaves can be FROZEN, and they thaw out just fine, so that way they keep almost indefinitely (yay!).

- Some gliders actually prefer the leaves AFTER they've dried, and are crunchy(?!?). Plus, once dried, you can boil/potpourri/vacuum them for a wonderful aroma in your home.

In conclusion...
I'm here to serve you and your gliders' needs/desires for fresh and dried Euc leaves, chew sticks and branches, so let me know what you need and what I can do to help out!

Matt sent me a new batch of leaves, and chew sticks for my suggies. I got them in the mail today, and they are fantastic! They are nothing like the ones I got before. They are super fresh. I just want to say again I wasnt trying to start any problems, I just couldnt understand why my very first batch wasnt like the ones others have gotten. Matt is a wonderful person, and made everything right.

I just ordered one of the GC starter packs last night -- am anxiously waiting for it to see how my joeys react.

My babies love their Euc! I think Matt has excellent communication! We love Euc here and it really does freeze well!

Out of my last batch I did leave some out to dry and crumbled them up on the floor and Vacuumed them up and my home smelled AMAZING!

Well, I have to pipe up and say that I got my first order of Euc this week, gave it to my babies for the first time on Friday night and they LOVE it! And I mean like roll around in it, wrap around a branch and fall asleep kind of love! And as a bonus, I've definitely noticed that while my gliders don't tend to have an especially strong odor, having the Eucs in the cage has absolutely cut down even more on any smell! When I walk past the case, all I smell now is fresh eucalyptus goodness! I will definitely be getting more!

so, usually, I go CUT the Euc leaves off the trees, take them to the garage, trim them down to fit in the gallon baggies, and off they go to you guys.

but now,

since we've had storms here...

I can walk around the property and PICK-UP the freshly-fallen BEAUTIFULly clean, long, banana-shapped leaves, from the tops of the very tallest trees (some with seed pods, attached), haul them to the garage, bag 'em up and off they go to you guys.

HINT: tell a glider friend. if you've been wanting to try Eucs for your babies, try 'em now. If you're out, get some of these.

I received the eucalyptus I ordered yesterday, and last night I put a few leaves in the cage. They went nuts for it! They both came down and grabbed the same leaf, played tug of war for a bit, rubbed their faces all over it, licked it, dragged it around the cage, and there was general mirth and cuteness!

I'll definitely reorder.

You will get them, with all the crazy weather going on all over the states, the mail system is taking longer than usual. We didn't have mail delivered today due to the roads being frozen. I know it's hard to be patient when you're excited to get some for your gliders. Send him an email and let him know, he can see what's taking so long or he may be backed up with orders.

can you freeze what you dont use??? i only have 2 gliders, and that would last FOREVER...so im wondering if i can freeze it, and if not, how long does that last?

Think I gotta have me some euc! Is the starter pack the best way to see if they like it?

That is the best way Dave. Eterrell84 I ordered my first 2lb batch about a week in a half ago. I froze 1/2 I will be pulling it out on sat or mon so I will let you know how it turns out. :-) The paper that came with mine said you could freeze it just defrost it before giving it to the gliders. So thats what Im doing. It will have been in the freezer for 2 weeks as of mon.
