I have never thought to post this before, but I have been seeing alot more toys, pouches and hammocks around lately with chains attached. I have a wonderful glider named Louise who came to me without a tail. her previous owner explained that she got it tangled in a small metal chain that one of her toys hung from. In a panic she pulled and literally left her tail behind . She healed well, although her balance is slightly off. So just another thing to beware of, keep watch for small chains on glider accessories that they can get their fur tangled in .

Oh, man, what a horrible thing to happen! I know lizards drop their tails, but we're talking something MUCH more drastic with gliders! Glad yours is fine. Thanks for the warning.

Thank you for posting this about the chains. If I may add, I have seen alot of toys lately with bells...bells are ok as long as they are not the *jingle* bell type. Those have little cracks and crevices just perfect to catch a nail in. My suggestion is to remove those from the toys. Karin
