Hello everyone!

I just joined GliderCentral and this is my first post. I live in Knoxville, TN and have 2 adult gliders, Hershey (mom) & Choco (dad). We bought these 2 gliders from an individual who could no longer keep them. We had not planned to have glider babies but we knew it was possible as the seller told us the male had not been neutered. The first joeys came out of the pouch in late Sept. 09. Unfortunately, they were both rejected and 1 died. We managed to get the other one to a woman experienced with animal rescue and hand raising small mammals.

In the 9 days between the rejection and getting Choco neutered, Hershey became pregnant again! The 2 joeys came oop on 12/19/09. Even armed with alot more knowledge, we still lost one joey. We are desperately hoping to keep the other female joey alive by supplementing formula.

I can't thank Glider Suz enough! She has been so helpful in giving me some very specific info that is working.

Please wish us luck and keep us in your prayers. We love this little joey and want so much to keep her.

I'm sorry to hear about the losses you've experienced, and I pray that this little one will become a very healthy and happy glider. It sounds like she's already on the right path with the love and the care that you're giving her already.

hubby will arrive thurs. and I will be there a week after he gets there. I get the fun bit of securing lodgings lasting more than a month. I love that part!!

Who is close to Oak Ridge that can show someone how to clip nails? My niece has two boys and she's rather terrified of trimming nails and they need to be done badly. I've shown her how to do it, but now I'm all the way in VT and she needs a refresher course!

I saw your post and wondered if you might be interested in 3 more suggies?
I have 3 that I rescued just over 2 years ago but now work 3 jobs and am looking to rehome them with someone who has more time for them.
They are all very healthy, come with a very large cage, toys, BML ingredients, treats, etc.
They have been on BML, a chicken recipe, organic fruits and veggies since I first got them and all have very good appetites.
If you're interested please let me know. And if you're not but know someone who is knowlegeable and experienced, would you let me know that too.

well hello tennesseeians and chattanoogans. I live in Ooltewah which is right outside chattanooga,i guess you can say in chattanooga because im like a min away from the city limit, anyways if all goes well i will be adopting 2 8 mon old females tuesday from a guy who is tryin to rehome them on craigslist also has anybody ever been to the middle valley animal hospital in hixson as i see this is the closest exotic vet around here
