I have a question for anyone who has used the custom cage liners that Jana makes. How often do you change them out? Weekly? Twice per week? Every other day? I ordered two of them for my biggest cage, but I want some opinions on how often they should be changed. I was thinking I would change them out every three days or so. I know washing them a lot will cause them to wear out faster, but I have a Leu and I really don't want him to get stained. Thanks

I shake them out every couple days and wash them once a week. I have 2 per cage so I have one ready at all times. They wash well. I only dry them for a few minutes alone then lay them flat.

I use them and I also only have two. How often I change them depends on how quick I wash the other one. I have two gliders, so they aren't too messy. I think every 2-3 days would be ok. Some people like to change theirs daily. I am sure it will depend on how stinky your cage is. Mine eat in a glider kitchen too, so there is no food mess in the bottom of the cage. A little note on those liners...please follow the instructions and don't try to IRON them like I did...oops. There is now a hole in one of mine and I had a hard time getting all the melted stuff off my iron.

I shake them out every few days, flip them over, and wash once a week. They drip-dry in no time, so never have to go in the dryer. The black liners are thicker and stuff comes off more easily than the blue and fuchsia ones.

Thanks for all of the feedback on the cage liners. I ordered two of them so I could change them out. I usually wash all the gliders' laundry immediately after removing it from their cages, so two liners might be enough for now. I still need to order them for my other cages but wasn't sure how many I should order. I'll try a black one the next time I place an order. I do use glider kitchens for all of my gliders. It really helps keep the mess under control.
