I just want to triple check since they are not "standard" items. All of these things are completely safe for gliders?

The first 2 would be from dollar tree, the sand paper perch cover would be from petsmart. I was told it would trim their nails as they play, but I will definitely check the pads of their feet to make sure they are not getting hurt and check nails to make sure they are not too short. My main concern with the sand paper perch covers is: could they eat it and would this be ok? And yes I have trim trax, but I was told they do not do the whole trick. I want to trim as little as possible (:

Here's my 2 cents worth:

Pom poms, fine. They make quite a cute "mealie pit" when thrown into a $1.00 bowl....and they can safely be dragged into a pouch to "fluff up" the sleeping area. NOW....if you see them being shredded, that's NOT FINE. They'd have to go.

Cotton balls, no. I can just see your suggie shredding them, getting them stuck in teeth or nails or wherever, ingesting them, a messy mess that's courting trouble.

Perch sand paper, I vote no. Again, I can see it getting shredded & ingested....just not good in my opinion. I'd rather see you get a good-sized limb (maple, apple, pear, etc) to put in your cage to help control nail growth.

Cotton balls would be a no in my opinion. I bought a sandy perch and I have never used it, I'm too worried it will hurt their feet. Pom Poms are great in a bucket with ping pong balls!

I had a sandy ladder, from petsmart, in my first cage and everything went alright, but there was no chewing at all on it.

I had the sandy perch paper in with Skittles when I first got her, and nothing happened, but neither she nor Oreo are chewers. In fact, so much of nothing happened that her nails did not stay trimmed with them either.

Would the sandy perches be safe but not the sandpaper perch covers?

Ive had the sandy perches before and I use sandpaper on their stealth wheels. The problem with the sand perches is in order for them to work, the glider has to spend time on them...mine never did, so I threw them out and went sandpaper on the wheel.

Cotton balls would make me too nervous getting a piece wrapped around a toe or limb or as Denise said in the teeth.
