Hi whoever is reading! I'm new to this forum/page, I just have a few questions about my new glider. I have a heat rock for her and she likes to lay on it, which I would assume to be normal. But she lays sort of funny, keeps her eyes open and is really still, I have some photos but I'm unable to attach them because they're too big. Is this normal behavior? Also, when she's not in her pouch during the daytime, she sort of just stands and doesn't move, is this because she's sleepy?

Hi you are in the right place. You might want to take the rock out of the cage. Not sure why she stares like that but I would consult a vet.does she have toys to play with? If not I put some army men or pom poms or something like that in her cage to play with so she is not bord also a wheel. You might consider a getting a snuggle buddy as soon as possible

She seems to like it to go to for heat when needed, but I'll definitely talk to a vet about if she's alright or not! She has some baby toys, a ball, and a wheel, and I play with her quite often, so she doesn't seem too lonely.. but snuggle buddy as in another glider? I would love to get another glider but the one I have now is currently 2, and I don't know that i'm ready to handle two. she seems to bite at my fingers a lot also, I wash my hands before I touch her or attempt to every time so they don't smell like food but she automatically tries to nibble. any thoughts?

Well if she tries to nibble she might be "tasting " you to check you out there are posts about bonding that may help you out. When I said "snuggle buddy" I meant other glider. When I first started I did not know if I wanted a second one but they are easier in pairs. My first glider was a nibbler I put honey on my fingers to teach her to lick it doesn't always work but it did on her

I put honey on my finger too so she gets used to me and whatnot. And I wouldn't quite no where to buy another glider, I bought mine from a woman who couldn't take care of her anymore. There are some breeders around here, but they're looking for $500 for the normal grey coat babies.
