this is the taronga zoo dietLeadbeaters Mix (Toronga Zoo, 2004) Warm Water 900ml Honey 900ml Hard Boiled Eggs (shelled) 6 High Protein Cereal 150grms (2 ½ Cups) Sustagen 6 tsp Method: 1. Measure out warm water into a 2 litre jug, add honey & mix together until honey has melted. 2. Blend eggs in blender until creamy. 3. Combine sustagen & cereal in a dish. 4. Add 1 teaspoon honey/water mix to blender & blend until creamy. 5. Add dry ingredients & ½ of the honey/water mix to the blender. 6. Add some of the honey/water mix (not all), through the lid opening until the mix is sloppy. 7. Blend for at least 1 minute. 8. Slowly add the remaining honey/water mix until lump free (keep light pressure on the blender lid to prevent leakage). The daily diet includes: 1. 10 mL of Leadbeaters mix 2. 2 Tbl. of a mixture of equal amounts of apple, banana, kiwi/grape and rockmelon/pawpaw. 3. 1 heaping Tbl. of a mixture of equal amounts of carrot and sweet potatoe and 1/2 the amount of corn. 4. 2 kangaroo cubes, 2 eukanubra kibble, 1/2 tsp fly pupae, and 1 Tbl. shelled egg (on Wednesday) 5. One of the following "extras" per day: Mung Bean (monday), coconut (tuesday), fig (etc.), sultana, alfalfa, grape, honeydew 6. Fresh browse (native tree limbs, flowers, etc) My understanding is that Sustagen is the same thing as Ensure, and that pawpaw is the equvalent to papaya. thats from zacksmom now the first bits easy enough but i couldnt do steps 4,5,or 6. with bml, i just dont have the babyfood, although i do have chicken and vege babyfood. with bml, is there somthing i could replace the baby food with, thats high protein, im in australia, so i have the high protein baby cereal, i have chicken and vege or chicken and pasta baby food. can anyone help? also does anyone have the link to the original leadbeaters diet? thanks

i've been using the suncoast diet on my babies for a few months and i'm really considering going to bml.. i figure if you get all those little half moon bits of food everywhere and they are JUST "eating" the liquid... how much liquid are they really getting from a soft pellet? they all seem to be doing fine on the suncoast, i'm not saying there's anything wrong with it.. but it just makes me think. besided when i got my 2 girls late march they were originally on bml so i still had some cubes in a bag in my freezer and i put a small cube in each cage (my girls and my joeys) to see all's response to it and it was gone from both cages within 5 hours...

High Protein Cereal 150grms (2 ½ Cups) from what I understand even in Austalia this is not on the market and that is why they have high protein wambaroo now. As for the rest i can't say. What we do for these stinkers lol

The Australian version is now using the HIGH PROTEIN WOMBAROO (which can also be purchased here now) in place of the high protein baby cereal. So Yes, do go with the original diet Winkle as you do have all the natural things there as well. My gliders are doing AWESOME on the new PML plan. and it is nice to see them finally eating every night without getting picky every other night!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

One of the following "extras" per day: Mung Bean (monday), coconut (tuesday), fig (etc.), sultana, alfalfa, grape, honeydew 6. Fresh browse (native tree limbs, flowers, etc) so could i just provide, fresh fruit and vegetables, insects and the sustagen (like the ensure) insted of these things?
