Biting for Bl**D

I totally love my three ……. . but …… …… does any one else have a baby that seems to be out for blood ????? ????? I love Surge and he has a for ever home no matter what but he seems to hit the points that will bleed the most.. like right just before my finger nail.. he always seems to find the “best” points to hit ………….

Love the furry one … … ….. but does any one else have a furry one that knows how to hit the “best / worst” points…?

Oh Ya! My Zoe sure can find the bleed points! lol - she strikes hard too! Invest in Band-Aid brother! I just counted 8 punture wounds on my fingertips! Now, this isn't normal behavior - I'm pretty confident it had something to do with the recent full moon. Usually I only get blood drawn every now & then. But man, it's brutal!

OK, this is going to hurt but I have been through this and it is THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS...take the bite close your eyes bite your tongue whatever you do, do not pull away...I did this for a week no more biting and lots more bonding (now the little vampire is one of my favorites...most of all don't get discouraged...

Rocco turned into a hard core biter when Naoshi started getting pregnant...he's even been known to bite completely through my fingernail...quest4eternity has the best advice...don't pull away~it's hard not to, & I've really wanted to a few times, but if you let him think he's the boss, you're really in for it.

OMG you all are scaring me! I've never been bitten by either of my two, or atleast not hard. I hope Flurry doesn't turn into a biter when Tink's preggo, I don't think he has it in him!

[:"green"]I agree with quest4eternity - you need to bear with it for a while. He bites because he wants you to leave him alone - he's nervous or scared . By pulling back, you reward him for his efforts . If he figures out that you aren't going to leave him alone in spite of biting, he will stop biting and figure out that being with you is actually a good thing . He may still nip from time to time as a "warning", but he won't bite anymore . When I first got Pepe, he was very brutal - I was really afraid of him for awhile . Then I tried bearing with it, and... Lo and Behold! Now he's one of the sweetest gliders I have !

P.S. When you do get bit, to help avoid infection, squeeze the wound to bleed as much of the bacteria out as you can, douse it with Hydrogen Peroxide (fizzes but doesn't hurt), then put antibiotic ointment & a band-aid on it.

Mine "nip" it's like a tasty bite but not painful or blood drawing. Doesn't hurt too incredibly bad although the sting factor and shock of it seem painful. They usually do it when I smell of food or something. They bite my finger once then stop.
