My baby is 10 months old and she hasn't really "flown" yet. She jumps alot but she doesn't glide. Can anyone give me some tips on getting my baby to use her wings?
My Zoe is the same way! Apparently, some gliders are just "like this". I've been working with Zoe a lot over the last few months & while she still prefers to walk to her destination, I can coerce her to jump. She goes farther and farther all the time & there have been a few glides. Just keep practicing with her.
The breeder I got my girls from taught me to put my gliders up on the top of a door frame. This doesnt give them room to move around a lot and they dont like to stay up there b/c of that and b/c there kinda stuck with no where to go and not much to hold onto..then start out with standing about 2 feet away and make then glide to you. This teaches them that you are their safety. Then just gradually move back further. Mine glide to me all the time now since I do that.

You are absolutely right! Bourbon taught me to teach my gliders how to glide that same way and it really works. I do have one little guy though that prefers to just slide down the slick door! I've attached a pic of Molly getting ready to take off from the top of the door frame. Actually, she kind of looks like a little monkey in this pic! Sorry Molly, JK!

Yes thats right, it was Bourbon...she was at the breeders house and taught me how to do that. Yeah..sometimes mine will try to just slide down too..but most of the time they will glide for me.
