I have a question. Everyone knows how extremely well Dasher has been doing. Bear and Pepper have been WONDERFUL parents and Dasher has by no means been underfed!

He will be 6 weeks oop on tues (2/8) and he is at 63g. However, he has remained at this weight for almost a week now, and I am wanting to know if this is normal. I am so used to him consistantly gaining a few grams per week.

Bear has him just about completely weaned I believe, he eats out of the dish with mom and dad nightly and I never see him nursing anymore. And I also believe Bear may have another one or two in the oven as well.

So is it normal that once a joey is weaned their weight gain slows down and levels out. Or should I be concerned.
Because right now, Im really starting to get nervous!

He eats well, he plays REALLY well, and he acts completely fine other than not putting anymore weight on.

If you want to know what a person is like, watch how he treats others.

You'll never know what the outcome is if you don't step up and try.

Their growth usually starts to taper off as they get older.
63g at 6 weeks is a pretty good size <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />
Mine average out at about 52g at 8 weeks.

I'm betting if he isn't nursing his weight stabalizing is because he isn't getting the high calorie milk. I wouldn't worry, he is just giving Nickolas a chance to catch up!

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.
