I have never had a glider shipped to me, you may need a health certificate.

I don't think you need any permits.

I had a pair shipped to me from a different province and didn't need anything besides proof that I was the one supposed to pick them up(ID, proof of payment). However I live in Canada and the procedures may be different in the States.
You could try calling the company you are shipping with and asking them?

As long as there are not any rules and regulations in your city/state, you should not need anything. I picked up a sugar glider from the airport not too long ago and all I needed was my ID.

To make sure, you could call the airline that is shipping your little one to verify nothing is needed. I contacted the united airlines cargo at my local airport where I would be picking up the glider.

All you need is you ID to prove you are the correct person picking up the glider.

Agreed, there shouldn't be any documentation to recieve them. Just a government issued photo ID - and that must be the person (receiver) listed on the shipping documents; so you can't send someone else to pick them up for you. The health certificate isn't a requirement, but that would be done and included by the person shipping the glider, not the receiver.

But there must be proper way to get that shipment.Because may be anyone take your shipment if you are not there showing that he is working on your behalf.what you say about that?

If someone is working on your behalf (?? picking up for you?), then you just let the shipper know that when you make the arrangements. Otherwise no, someone else cannot work on your behalf and pick up your animals. If they did that, then any random person could claim any animal they wanted. Only the person listed on the shipping documents can claim the animals. To my knowledge, there is no expection.

If things happen to change at the last minute, all you'd need to do is let the shipper know. They can put the correct information on the documents the day of the shipment. So, if for example you are ill, you call your breeder and tell them your spouse will be picking up and give them your spouse's info. Then all is well! wink
