Hi. I am planing on building a cage for my soon to be three gliders.(Scooter my little boy and a set of twins i just bought ) I want to breed the girls once than get Scoot neutered. Scooter is in a 3.5x2x2 cage now and it is way too small to put three + babies in I know I would like to house all together but am not sure how big the cage should be . Any suggestions let me know.
Thanks

I would suggest 4' wide, 2' deep and 6' tall at minimum. I have 6 in a cage that size, and it almost seems too small for them.

Although wood looks gorgeous, make sure that it is not pine or cedar and understand that they might have a tendency of chewing it... I'd check out the pvc coated hardware cloth found at Lowe's or Home Depot. You could also do a 260 gallon Reptarium for about $100 that measures 2.5 ft wide, 2.5 ft. deep and 6 ft. tall.

I just ordered my 260 gallon Reptarium from Sam's Club. It was $100 including tax and shipping!

Did you have to be a sam's club member to order it? I was looking at the same thing online last night.

Although Cedar is a BIG NO NO, when making a frame out of wood, yes you can use pine. I recommend white pine however, and you have to make sure you do the coating properly, otherwise you will have one smelly mess in a matter of months and have to replace it all due to not being able to get the urine or marking out of the wood itself. No matter how you wash it. I always recommend using pvc piping as it is not only easier to clean it is also lighter.

Ooops, sorry for the mistake. Thanks for correcting that Peggy! I'm just so used to saying no pine or cedar as far as bedding goes w/ small animals at work... It's almost habit.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure about the cleaning factor, but a lot of people own them so you'd think they would be otherwise people would have mentioned that.
