It looks super spiffy!!!! At first i thought it was gunna be really dangerous because of the title. Imagaine an actual trampoline swinging in the air. Like you jumping up and down on it while it's swinging. LOL but now i see it isn't like it. T4P

Thanks to you both. I just love making these things.

Now that's the cutest no sew project I have seen. I might have to try that one. Good job both of you

hey! that is sooo cool! i need to get me some plastic chains... do wal-mart carry them? the chains that is
im going to measure the rings i already have to see if it is 6 in
instead of a keychain ring, could i use book binder rings?? i got a box of them that i use for when i made my rats some hammocks and sleep sacks... i thought book rings was pretty cheap and easy to attach to the cage with... the box have 100 1 in. dia book rings... it looks like keychain rings except for they could be opened up and closed... office supply stores usually carries them also walmart too in the office supply area.. i got mine for 12 dollars for each box

wow, i've been looking around the site trying to find something for my new glider and this is cool. I'm gonna go get the stuff to make this in the morning. Where would I buy the chains? Just curious. If I can't find chains can I substitute something for them.

We're going to make them at my glider gathering and will be substituting plastic lacing for the chain. I also showed Jen (Xfilefan) how to make one at the SGGA & since we didn't have any lacing or chain there we used extra fleece and it worked really well also.

Chris and I made some at the SGGA...Chronos loves his. All my guys have a blast with one in the tent, too...swinging on it, bouncing off, climbing up and down the 'ropes'. I guarantee your glider will find SOMETHING to do with it!

I make one close to that but I use the circles you use for needlepoint for the circles instead of the ring you showed there, and they run less than a dollar each

[:"red"]Gee, that looks JUST LIKE Helen's (The Glider Playroom) glider trampoline, which SHE designed and donated to our Buckeye Bag project; so, actually, in all FAIRNESS - this is Helen's design. Helen created the glider trampoline MONTHS ago and decided to premiere it in our Buckeye Bag donation - AT THE SGGA. This was her design and a raffle item which supported the SGGA; thus, this is not a new design, but, rather, one which was created MONTHS ago....[/]

yeah I don't think anybody was TAKING CREDIT for this its just more no sew things peopel can use. Being nasty like that will distract from the point which is "heres another great project for people" If you think about it every design out there has been done before. I have been making toys for upwards of 10 years but only been on GC for a few months. I think suz is great for doing this for people she doesn't have to and she really makes nothing off it. So bad mouthing on her post is uncalled for. JMO Suz this is great. Can't wait to see more.

[:"green"]To answer the question about the chain - you can buy it online from http://www.rockportroost.com. I used the 3/4" links, but 1/2" or 1" would work just as well... As Chris said, you can also use fleece or plastic lace instead of chains. Any type of connector at the top will do, too, as long as it's suggie-safe... Hopefully, now that the boys are back in school, I'll be able to start posting some of the other ideas that people have sent to me in the near future... ~~~~~~~~ Now, to set the record straight, I never meant to infringe on anyone's ideas... I just thought it was a neat toy & posted the instructions so others could make it, too. Chris sent the idea to me months ago & I wasn't aware that anyone else was making something similar to it. It took me quite a while to get it posted on my site because my summer has been CRAZY! From my understanding, Helen's are sewn, not No Sew. For those of you who aren't crafty, please do buy one of Helen's... Please, let's try to keep this thread on topic so it doesn't get shut down...
