I roll my cage onto a vinyl tablecloth with a sheet over that to keep the moisture located to underneath the cage. I recommend any type of steamer that has a nice long hose with the attachment at the end. I think the handheld type that are jar or bottle shaped may be harder to maneuver around a cage. I have a Shark steamer, but it is a canister type with the long hose. My cage is 5' tall, 3' wide and 2' deep. I put the bottom grate and tray in the bathtub while I'm steaming the cage. The steamer makes quick work of the job and I'm really happy with it.......and because the top of the cage is wider that 2' I can't roll it outside to clean it anyway.
