Cheap odor removal for toys, wheels, whatever. Lemon Juice. I did a monster cleaning session this week-all 14 cages and everything in them (UGH!). The wheels still smelled after I scrubbed them. So, I soaked them for a while in a sink of hot water and lemon juice. Worked great! I love it!

good thought.. I use vinegar for the same purpose- cheap white vinegar will remove ANY odor just about from what I've discovered.. the insurance co. had me use it on our immediate need clothes after the fire even!

I know that vinegar works, I just can't stand the smell while I'm using it But, it does work really well and is cheaper than lemon juice.

I just bought a huge two-pack of lemon juice at Costco. What dilution of water to lemon juice do you use?

Funny you say that Shawna, I love the smell of vinegar. It always reminds me of Easter (dying eggs)

I used my kitchen sink, and filled it with hot water, and put in about 1/3 of a cup of lemon juice. I didn't measure! LOL! I just poured some in.
