Hi everyone!

Some of you may remember my other posts over a month ago about my two rejected joeys, one of which was sadly cannibalized. Well Liam, the remaining joey is now 7 weeks old, healthy, and eating on his own. He just has the sweetest disposition smile although for whatever reason really dislikes men lol! Anywho - Although I am not anywhere near ready to do this yet (I want to get him neutered first) I was just wondering how and if it is possible for me to reintroduce him to his mom and now neutered dad? Being that they rejected and attempted to cannibalize him, would they try to harm him now even though he is grown up? Or is it safe to assume that they would simply treat him like another cage mate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you do I would just go slow and take all the steps. I have never reintroduced joeys to parents but I would imagine it might be fine if you do all the steps and watch them.again I have never reintroduced joeys to parents

You may want to wait until he is as big as his parents so that he can stand up to them.

Like Dinah said, take is slow.

Will do. Though I have a feeling he may never be as big as his dad. Luka is a big boy and because Liam was raised on formula instead of his mother's milk I just feel like he may end up being slightly smaller. I'm hoping that there won't be any male aggression if both of them are neutered.

I had a joey I had to hand raise. After all that, and he was such a sweet baby, I just decided to get him a girlfriend. I wasn't brave enough to try to put him back in with mom and dad. They don't seem to be bothered by his scent if I handle him then his parents, so maybe they would have gotten along.

It is a gamble since the reason for rejection is not known.

It could have been something as simple as the mom being overwhelmed or something minor with the joey which has now corrected itself dunno

If there is still something wrong humans cannot detect, there is a good chance this glider will still be rejected.

You must watch very carefully, and if it were me, I would not leave it alone in the cage until I could be 100% sure it would come to no harm.
