Hey all!
It's been a while since I posted.
Been trying to sort out a big life transition, acquiring, outfitting and transitioning everything into an RV.

That's pretty simplified--but the big problem was, than in this new life, I won't be able to keep the RV temp-stable enough for fragile little gliders.

So I made the decision, to rehome the gliders. They went to a nice young lady who was very schooled on gliders.

That was very sad...for all of us.

Fast forward to setting up the RV. In the process of trying to set up all the systems I wanted on it. I discovered a few new bits of tech available for RVs that make it possible to get very good (though not perfect) climate control in the RV even if I am not there to babysit it.
Special control head wires into the generator control and the thermostat and a small electric furnace. If the temp drops, or rises outside of specs, it will message me a warning. (If I am in a place with internet).
And its all backed up with a...ridiculous...solar power array. (seems extreme, I know...but it only has to fail once and all my babies are dead--so I went overboard)

After getting this setup together....I realized that it was better than what I had on the house.

SO....blah, blah blah...listen to me ramble.

Please meet....Justin and Frisby.

Wow, I don't know what to say, sounds like you've been through a lot. Your new babies are cute though, I'm glad you were able to work things out to have them, I'm sure it had to be tough. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about them.

I don't want to make it sound totally negative. It's a big change but it's a good change.

So are you boondocking? (Means off the electical grid for those of you who may not know)

When we are RVing, and working, I watch the outside temperatures closely when we aren't there. We have an electric heater as a backup on in the winter in case propane runs out. In the summer, we have a 12 volt automatic fan that's on a separate thermostat that will kick on at a set temp in case there is power failure.

Sugar gliders do adapt a certain amount to temp extremes, and I keep several different types of pouches in their cage according to the temps outside.

Right now I am testing 3 different ones that have pet screen in them, and so far they haven't touched them.

Thanks for the tech info, we will look into it
