Why do gliders chatter their teeth?

I've never seen them do that exactly, I know they make different sounds but never noticed teeth chattering. Hopefully someone who can help you will log on and answer your question shortly.
Usually, if I have one glider out of pouch for a while & go to put him back with the other in pouch, my youngest (less-bonded) glider will chatter his teeth. But he isn't aggressive toward me or the other glider. It's weird lol

Hi VanessaNichole,
One of my boys does the 'teeth chatter' thing during out of cage time. I have mostly heard it when they are playing in different areas and then meet up again. It's almost like they are saying "Hey, how have you been?"
I have also heard it during times when one glider is in the pouch and the other comes to join. Again, kinda like "Hey, how have you been?"
Every time I have heard this sound, it never seems to be used as an aggressive sound.
Hope this helps a bit.
