Pouch Protective?

Pouch Protective? - 01/23/17 01:21 PM

I have noticed recently Ava has become very pouch protective, not from me but from Penelope. Penelope will try to get in the pouch and Ava will crab at her and kind of snip at her. But once Penelope makes it in the pouch eventually they are completely fine and they cuddle. I don't get it. I have multiple sleeping spots for them to sleep but they refuse to use them. Is this normal or is there a way to stop it from happening?

The fact they settle down is good. Probably just a little misunderstanding over who is supposed to enter the pouch first rofl

I agree with Karen, she could also be asserting that the bottom of the pouch is her area.

It seems to me that the bottom of the pouch is prime real estate.

My girls have been together over 2 years and Dot still crabs at Fiona when Dot is the first one in and settled. When Dot crabs, Fiona makes little squeaks and then they make the usual settling in noises " sst, pht, sss-sss " noises, then all is good.

I imagine that as "I AM SLEEPING HERE!" hehe

Merlin does this sometimes when the girls wake before he does.
