Clarification on Wombaroo High protein supplement - 12/14/10 07:02 PM
There was a comment on a locked thread which I thought needed some clarification so not to confuse people.
Wombaroo High Protein supplement is not possum replacement milk -it is a dietary protein booster.
I would hate for people to get confused and start feeding it as a milk replacement to joeys.
Wombaroo does make a huge range of milk replacers- some especially for native animals as well as domestic...so specialised they have two for possums/gliders alone with different milk strengths for different ages.
I am also concerned that people are feeding milk replacements to pregnant females to supplement their diet. If they do need supplementing, Wombaroo High protein supplement could be used for that. Again I wonder if the confusion with the products is how that started in the first place.

HPW, technically speaking, is Australian High Protein Wombaroo, I.E. possum replacement milk.
