Pine nuts

Pine nuts - 06/28/05 06:19 PM

Okay, I was wandering some stores with my bonding pouch around my neck. I noticed that 1) the shop owners had a bowl of pine nuts for customers and 2) Kethry was awake. So I gave her one of the pine nuts. She [censored] loved it.

IIRC, pine nuts don't have the same aflatoxins peanuts do, but I wanted to make sure before I went out and stocked up for my fuzz-butts. Is there a list of safe nuts for gliders?

with nuts the *main* thing is to not feed them too much b/c of the fat content...

Oh mine ADORE pine nuts. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
(I give them sparingly as a special treat due to the fat content.)
Also, Walnuts and Almonds are favorites around here. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (I use almonds mostly due to their nutritional content. Good source of Vit E. )

Pine Nuts are expensive even here in NM where they are grown so when I get em they are all mine!!!! YUM!!!

J/K I wouldn't mind sharing with Anna and Petrie. They usually get food before me anyway. When I go shopping I get them food first than see what I have left for me. hahahaha spoiled little buggers!
