BUT i cant tell them apart for the life of me! is there n.eway i can tell them apart? both r kinda quiet and laid bak. Lucien will bite if forced to while Trysten will nibble on me. Sounds like you are telling them apart right there but I know that someone else can answer this for you..

well.. sounds like you can tell them apart.. maybe not from looking at them but, from the way they act. so maybe the next time that you have Trysten with you maybe you should take a good look at him.. and then take a good look at the other one and see if maybe there is just one little mark even if it is just the slightest little thing so that when you see it you know which boy you are looking at.

When I first got my two boys the way I was able to tell them apart was by looking at the tip of their tail. Tipsy got his name because when I got him he had no hair on the tip of his tail from an injury he had sustained while with his previous owner... however now Tipsy's tail has grown the hair back but, I will always know how he got his name.

As you spend more and more time with your gliders you will start to see differences in personality which will make it easier to tell which is which. Look at their back stripes and see if you can tell any differences in their stripe. Also their face colors and patterns.
I have two boys that is very difficult to tell apart not that they are neutered and no longer have their bald spots. (Dexter always had the biggest bald spot)

Here's something you can do in the mean time, until you can tell them apart easier...

Trim the hairs at the very tip of one of their tails so it is flat (the other's will obviously be the natural rounded shape). No harm done, and you'll be able to distinguish them at a glance.

Another good way to tell them apart is to look for any marks, that would identify your little ones. For instance, with Avery and Arowyn, they look almost identical. However on Arowyn, her strip on her forehead goes out to the right and left, then flows into her stripe. If that makes any sense. lol.. Good luck!

I had the hardest time distinguishing between Pickles and Peanut for awhile. Pickles is older, so she was a little larger and more outgoing at first. Now they are pretty much the same size but I spent hours studying both of them and I noticed that Peanut has a small amount of brown fuzz on the top of her nose, whereas Pickles' nose is all pink. That's pretty much the only way I can tell them apart now, lol.

My advice is to just study them carefully for any differences - hopefully you'll find some way to distinguish between the two. Good luck!

I agree with some of the posts above .. [:"blue"] you are already telling them apart.. [/] ..

I am in a similar situation, we just took in a set of twins this weekend, and I truly looking at them can’t yet tell who is who , however I know after spending a bit of time with each who is who, you will come to know them, as they are getting to know you too!

Each will show you a part of them-self and you will get to know them better!

My two girls are physically identical - when they're the same weight. A couple months ago Meg started getting a little tubby, so I can tell them apart now. But I bought a second wheel for the cage (apparently Syd was hogging it), and now Meg is slimming back down . . . . soon I won't be able to tell them apart again . . . .

But they do act differently, so as long as they're in the apartment I can usually tell because of that. If they're somewhere foreign to them, I won't be able to tell because they'll both behave differently.

my twins are identical too. I tell them apart by a dark spot on top of Playto's nose. I have a few extra things now too as Playto now weighs more and Confusia has some hair missing on her head where she is overgrooming a little. You will find something as you get to know them better.

When I first got my girls...(twins) I couldn't tell them apart either. After you spend enough time with them you start to recognize different personality traits. Also, you might notice a very slight difference in size. One of my gliders is slightly (barely) larger than the other. One of the first ways I found out which was which was by getting a cat toy with feathers on the bottom and playing with both of them. One of them really likes to play, and the other is a little more timid and would rather just be petted. That might be a good way to tell. They like different foods, etc. I wish you luck, I'm sure you'll figure them out! have fun. -Sara
