??? Are there obvious signs of aging??? - 10/30/04 11:06 AM
[:"green"]I have a pair of gliders that I adopted a couple of years ago from a woman who had adopted them from someone else. I believe they are about 8-10 years old, but I really don't know. I have noticed some differences in their appearance from my other gliders, but don't know if this is due to genetics or to their age .
Here are the things that I have noticed: their ears are almost completely pink with just small splotches of very pale grey. Their tails are very light grey in color at the tips instead of black. There is still a difference between the tip & the rest of the tail, though. Their face markings are not as dark as my other gliders'.
Could these be signs of old age in a glider? Or is it just genetic coloring? I've been wondering for a long time, and the people I have talked to about it (about a dozen) don't have any idea...
If anyone has any idea, I would really like to know...
Also, does anyone know the average age of when a female glider goes through menopause? I haven't been able to find the answer to this question either...
All information about these topics will be greatly appreciated [/]
