Pouch Staining

Pouch Staining - 11/14/05 12:55 AM

At what age does pouch staining start to disappear?

Emmet's face is still really pouch stained- at least that's what I'm assuming it is. He's a fuzz over 10 weeks OOP... how long will this last?

I'll be so sad to see it go away- I am lovin' this baby stage! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/muchlove.gif" alt="" />

Do you have a picture? I haven't seen that before myself.

Ok- we took a pic of Emmet.... This is him enjoying a yoggie! He's not a fan of mealies yet <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Isn't he sooo cute!? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/muchlove.gif" alt="" />

It looks like someone in his family may have been a cinnimon.

That's not pouch staining <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> You may have a color variation glider, but if it's just his face, I would say he's just got a uniquely creamy colored face <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

pouch staining is usually around the neck and starts fanishing around 2 weeks and is usually gone by 8 weeks. He looks like he has a creamy face. He sure is pretty

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif" alt="" /> Go figure! I never said I could tell the color variations apart! I figured it was pouch staining since it's just his face, but then I was thinking he's getting kind of old for that!

It's weird! Oh well- he's so cute <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/muchlove.gif" alt="" /> The best part is that he loves to be held- at least so far!

[:"green"]It could be pouch-staining if he is still nursing at all. If he's not nursing, then I'd say it's a color variation...
He's adorable! What a sweetheart <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" />...

Nope- he's not nursing. His momma died when he was about 7 weeks oop <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" /> and he's almost 11 weeks oop.

Must be color then!

[:"green"]Now how did I miss out on the fact that his mama died? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shakehead.gif" alt="" />: Life has just been too hectic lately. Belated, I know, but I'm sorry for your loss <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" />.

Definitely must be his coloration then!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/multi.gif" alt="" />

It wasn't directly my loss- it was the breeder that I got him from that lost her <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> But she didn't post about it anywhere that I saw so I'll just keep it at that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" />

He is such a stinkin' cutey! He already hops to the front of the cage as soon as I walk in the room & he stays on me like I'm his safe spot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/muchlove.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pouch Staining - 11/15/05 05:14 PM

I'm finally catching up on posts after all our power cuts this last week!

It was my Petula that died Suz. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> She managed to find a loose bar in her cage that we didn't know was there and got on to her neighbour's cage. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shakehead.gif" alt="" /> They had new young babies and very cage territorial when it cones to other gliders and managed to grab a hold of her. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> We found her the next morning. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> We replaced their cage and thank god Feival and Emmet didn't get out.

I really didn't feel like talking about it. Starts me crying <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" /> She was a baby of one of our other Joeys so we had her her from the beginning. I miss her so much. Feival seems to be doing ok, I was worried after Emmet left if he would get depressed, but he is bouncing around playing and eating good.

I'm glad Emmet is doing so good Sarah. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

[:"green"]Awww, Catherine, I'm so very sorry... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" />
That's such a very sad story. I don't blame you for not wanting or being able to talk about it...
