I live in Woodinville and would love to get a little NW gliders club going or something. I know it sounds kinda geeky but it would be fun to share stories and gear (ha I don't even have my first sugar yet and listen to me.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )!

I'm a new "sugar baby" owner living in Tacoma. Savannah is my amazing little girl. I can't believe how we have bonded, and how she turns to me for help and love. I'd love to meet others who are attached to one or more of these beautiful babies. If there is ever a get together I'd like to be included.

Re: WASHINGTON - 12/12/04 11:05 PM

I'm from NW Washington State. I'm located on the Olympic Penninsula. I have had Taz and Shania going on 3 yrs this month. I do sale any joeys as they are weaned and ready to go to their forever homes. I'm also available via E-mail or IM for questions and/or help regarding gliders and their care.

P.S. I am looking into buying a colored glider to breed with a chocolate baby I'll be getting sometime next year. Any colored breeders near by?

Re: WASHINGTON - 12/13/04 03:14 AM

I found a link to The NorthWest Sugar Glider Gazette. It's for people who are slaves to gliders in Washington, Oregon and I believe Idaho. I'm not sure if Tiffani still has her yearly Glider Picnic. I know she was still having them a few years ago. She has a message board, an email discussion group. Check it out.. http://tiffanibarnes.com/thesugarpouch/

*waves* Hey everyone just thought I'd say I live in Tacoma (south end actually ^_^) and I'm actually going to be getting a glider from a friend's brother who lives here; of course after I've finalized my research and have the cage properly prepared (which I just got today *happy snoopy dance*) ^_^

Re: WASHINGTON - 04/09/07 06:23 PM

My name is Cheryl and I live in Hoquiam, Wa I have 5 gliders and 2ip any day now oop..I am fairly new to gliders. Have had mine for almost 2 years now. Have learned so many does and dont's and must not ever. I think we should have a get together this summer!! I would be willing to Help plan or something. These guys (meaning the suggies) are so Awesome. My daughter introduced me to them and now I have taken over our little colony as she has moved out on her own and her job takes a lot of her time. I surely don't mind though as I have come to love them just like my real kids..So if anyone is interested in getting something pulled together for this summer let me know.

Re: WASHINGTON - 04/14/07 12:31 AM

I would LOVE to have some kind of get together! We should all try and find a "middle ground" that everyone could go to!
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: WASHINGTON - 04/14/07 01:00 AM

yeah that'd be spiffy! the only question is who is interested, where are they located, and what would be the best "in between " ish spot?
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: WASHINGTON - 04/17/07 10:16 AM

Tacoma sounds like middle ground to me...lol I would be willing to go that far if not farther..Lots of places to stay..I am sure we could figure something out..Olympia could be middle ground too..I am sure we could figure something out...I am up late tonight for some reason...Have woogie and woogles sleeping in my shirt... I played with them and they didn't want to go back in thier cage ..it is funny when they keep hopping out on me that is when I know they want to cuddle in my shirt awhile..soothes me too when I hear that familiar little noise they make when they sleep..life is good, what would you do with out the simple little things that make it all worth it...
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: WASHINGTON - 04/18/07 08:22 AM

I agree with Roosmom, Tacoma or Olympia would be a good middle ground, I think, for some kind of gathering. Who's interested?

OK, not sure anyone actually reads this post, but just in case...now I am all moved in I would like to try to get a pet-sitter lined up in the Seattle area just in case I need to go out of town.

Does anyone know of anyone in the Seattle area who is willing/experienced with glider sitting? For instance, are you willing to glider sit (I would be happy to pay you) or do you know of anyone who is responsible and reliable?

Thanks everyone!

I'd love to do a get together in WA! And since you're in TA. That would work out great.

Re: WASHINGTON - 03/19/09 01:28 PM

Still waiting for the house to sell... I look forward to being back in Washington. Hubby heads to Bangor next month. We're looking at homes in Port Orchard.

Does anyone know about import rules for gliders? or other legal stuff in WA about them?

I am really hoping to make glider friends when we move up there, if for no other reason so I'll have at least someone around who a)doesn't think I'm insane. and b) so I can go out of town from time to time... lol, happy to trade glider-sitting smile
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: WASHINGTON - 03/19/09 10:26 PM

Three months sounds about right for me to be there. I'm also wondering about legal stuff. But I believe everything is the same.

When I get everything settled I'd love to make a retreat. smile

Re: WASHINGTON - 03/24/09 08:49 PM

Wow, never knew there were so many people in Washington. I'm in Renton (fairwood greens) but I go to school at Seattle Christian School.

I'm relatively new to gliders, kinda. I've been researching for 2 years and a couple months now.

My parents and I are looking to buy two female gliders from a lady in Olympia. But first comes trying to persuade my parents that the dog won't be a problem.
