Papaya Salmonella Outbreak - 09/02/17 02:01 AM

So I've been trying to find my babies their Papaya since I'm running out of my batch of frozen papaya n cantaloupe. I couldn't find it in the grocery stores so I went to one of the farmer's markets in town and the let me know there is like a nationwide recall on it in the US because of a salmonella outbreak! Like 200 people have become sick and one has died! frown

I had no idea. I googled it and there are a lot of news articles on it. And I'm a news [censored]! I don't know how I missed this since it was going on since July!!!

Thank you for sharing. I rarely offer papaya due to the fact it's hard to find most of the time. My babies love cantaloupe and honeydew so much anyway, I usually use both of those and occasionally watermelon for added treat. But it's good for those who regularly use papaya to know this news.
