What is your definition of obese? Remember, since they have free roam they will also build up a lot more muscle due than one in a cage would.
Also, you may want to consider switching over the the Plus or even the Complete. Each of these are a tad less in bioavailable protein to the gliders
since the Wombaroo was used in rehabbed gliders.
Also, as Kimberly stated, cut back on fruits and all treats. Are you making one of the Critter Love salads to feed alongside the OHPW?
As for the green juice. It has more sugar in it than if you stuck with the Original. It also dilutes the formula, one of the reasons I stopped recommending it YEARS ago.
thank you much for your answer.
Unfortunately I can not weight them right now as my cheap scale kills the small quarter batteries, I even store the batteries OUT of the scale but still dead. so
no weights, but we used to weight the gliders in the past. gizmo and link, males were 160 and 153 grams, they might be slightly bigger. scarface, female, looks
bigger, and riggs is much bigger, so much so she seems to have trouble eating or getting small food out of bowl, or picking up mealworms with her mouth.
and usually during snack time riggs stays in the sleeping area or comes out late and gets little of the snacks. I would post pictures but this site is hard for me to do that.
so I ordered fish sticks for a snack so I can cut down on mealworms, I read they are 10% the calories and very healthy.
I think I make salad 5 with the OHPW.
We started diet TPG, but we both didn't like it for several reasons. We switched to critterlove complete for awhile, we got some free gliders with wombaroo powder
and decided to give it a try. I think price was one of the major reasons. The gliders loved it, not that they didn't eat the complete. I think when I compared price I found
the wombaroo cheaper then PLUS, so as long as I could get it from Australia we decided to go with that to save money specially since we had gotten up to 15 gliders.
now at manageable 6 gliders.
lastly... looking into Gohpw, its 120 calories per cup vs 750 calories 3/4 cup honey. about 40% reduced calories and read its full of the good stuff, vitamins, etc.
then green juice 26 grams of sugar vs 255 grams of honey 3/4 cup (but honey is not sugar)
so the calorie count and chance to reduce weight is what got me thinking about this version of the diet, would be also super simple to just buy a bottle and substitute for
the honey. no big diet changes.
