yes, however, once you put it together..you will need to use zip ties in a lot of areas to keep it sturdy and leave no gaps. Also, secure the doors as they can slide them up...we use a hair bungee to hook on the top door as a latch, and closed off the rest of the doors as there are quite a few I hate to use the word flimsy, but basically it is...however, it does make a good large cage when secured properly and put in an area where it won't be bumped or knocked into. Hope this helps.

That cage sounds good to me, just make sure they can't get out.

I like the first one becuase of the wheels. Also, do you prefer white or black?

Re: is this cage ok? - 10/20/05 10:12 AM

i like black. actually i saw one at a pet store closer to mine. it looks a little cheaper, i mean it shakes a little, i dont know if these do but then i can reinforce it with some stands and plants or something. its way bigger than this and it'll cost me like 65 with the stand.

i think its 36" x 24" x 55-60" its gonna be for 2 gliders. i like black more than white. i think white might stain from pee's.

oh yeah the 1st cage. on ebay, is the one i saw at the petstore my my house. pretty cheap. i might get that cause i dont have much money right now. i'll have to reinforce it to make it more sturdy. i should be getting it in a week or two. i'll post some pix when i get them.

Probably a little late in a reply, you may have bought it or passed it up already... but, you can also buy small metal pinch style clips to help hold it together versus using zip ties. the clips can be picked up at home depot. It's seems liek a nice cage for the price though.

Hi, I have a cage almost like the first one, but in black. I have 3 gliders in it, a big tree branch, and lots of toys, they seem to like it. LOTS of playing at night. I do take them out every night and every morning to play outside the cage ( No I do not need any sleep ) The doors do open way too easy, I had all escape the first night. Luckily they stayed on the cage. I put wooden clothes pins on all the doors. It makes it easier to get into than clips. I also made a 3 way screen out of really thin plexi glass from Home Depo, (I cut one piece in half and then taped them together with clear duct tape) it goes up about 2 foot in the front and sides to protect long tails from my nosey cats. BONUS... the screen really helps keep the food mess in the cage and off my carpet yah! I will attach a picture of it. I have added several new toys to it now and they still have room to run and play.

Hey tbull,
That's a great idea with the screen. Also, how did you make Or what did you use to make that stand?

You are going to laugh, but it is shelving from Walmart, like $2.00 each. They have it back by the rubbermaid type stuff. I think it is to put cangoods on in your cupboards, I thought it would be good to get my babies alittle higher up ( my cats are both de-clawed, but still could not resist those long glider tails hanging out, also helped my male Pom, he had a "You mark, I mark" thing happening. Now they are to high for his short little leg lift. haha) and makes vaccuming under the cage easier. I am all for that EASIER thing.

That is awesome! That's exactly what I like, nice and simple. Great idea. I'm definitely going to check them out at Walmart.
