Glider Gyms - 03/22/06 04:28 PM

Hi Glider Addicts,

My girl and I are starting to gather ideas for our pet room. One thing that I remember seeing in the past were "Glider Gyms". However, I cannot recall what site the gyms were on.

There were two different items that stuck out in my mind. One was a floor standing gym, made of PVC, with Fleece Toys dangling all over it, and with fleece sleeves covering most of the PVC. The second item was 3' - 6' wall gyms, custom made to your specs and color choices. They were really just flat versions of the gyms, using PVC pipes and a chain to hang the gym up.

If this rings a bell with anyone, please, post a link and info here. The Pet Room is going to be for the Gliders, Ferrets and Millipede, and we want to fill it with fun toys and "pet furniture".

The play gyms were my creation. However, my store is not open at the moment. I have seen some look-alikes on ebay now and then.

I'm unsure if i will re-open the store at this point in time. With my husband in Korea for a year, its day 4 alone and i'm getting pretty bored. So it might come back, but i just dont know. I had a hard time keeping up with everyone's orders.

Kayla,

Thanks for the response. I am sad to hear about your hubby being away, and your store being closed. I so loved those gyms. I will keep my eyes out, and hope that your store opens again soon.

I always liked the pics of your husband modeling the gyms; him standing on chairs, precariously holding the super tall wall gyms

LOL, his most hated job... Especially because he couldnt move or it made things swing and the pics wouldnt turn out! The one pictured for instance was the first really big one i ever made and i think i had to take at least 10 pics to get it to work. He was ready to kill me. Not that they were heavy, just awekward to balance and keep still.

Heh heh, he always looked like he was going to fall sideways, obliterating the gym in the process. That is actually one of the things that kept these in my mind; the lengths the sales team went through to get a nice, full picture of the merchandise

Sorry Kayla, it looks like you have outdone yourself, and everyone wants your stuff again. I think I knocked down a hornets nest

Re: Glider Gyms - 03/24/06 02:52 PM

would everyone be happy if i just sold the gyms without the toys? They would come with the rings to hook your own toys on?? Or does everyone want the whole package? I know in the past, everytime i had a gym that had all the toys on it, it sold in nothing flat... But when i offered the gyms bare, i sold none. But if i just offer the structure, i could probably keep up with them. They go pretty fast, its the toys that slow me down.

Hmmm... I'll have to think about it...

Re: Glider Gyms - 03/24/06 03:28 PM

I would probably want the gym with all of the toys.

I am poor right now, however, so, in my case, no rush. If you DO start selling these again, let me know.

Edit: You know, honestly, I would not mind these either way. Chances are, I would start customizing the gym anyways. I really like the Fleece Sleeves over the piping, however

Re: Glider Gyms - 03/24/06 04:58 PM

Kayla, either would be fine with me, maybe you could just let me know what toys are easiest to hook on to your gyms so I can buy them, but I'LL TAKE IT EITHER WAY lol!!!! I LOVE LOVE them sooooo much and whatever is easiest for you is fine with me as long as I get the gym itself....ooooooo, are you actually considering????? I'm glad I reserved my place in line!!!!!!

Re: Glider Gyms - 03/24/06 05:01 PM

Would I be able to order the toys from you and you could just let me know how to hook them up? You wouldn't have to do it yourself, but the vine and toys are so cute, I'd prolly order them from you anyway and then (since I'm horrible at creating things) you could just give me tips on how to get them all hooked up (who am I kidding, it would be my fiance doing it lol....)

Either way here too. Like Jess said, Whatever is easier for you to do is fine with me. No rush, take your time and think it over
